QUOTE(Stamp @ Jan 7 2009, 12:20 PM) is it true that even after currency conversion, hifi products in singapore are cheaper than the ones sold in malaysia? Ya-la M'sia got 15% tax on AV/ Hi-Fi products. Although Onkyo is produced in M'sia & we should save on shipping cost

I was at Best Denki Singapore. 606 only SDG10xx. My SG friend say can get less than that if buy from SimLin. Even at 2.4 still cheaper than m'sia but you have to cash n carry back from down under. Tol + petrol makes the price equal to msia. Unless you happend to "pop" by sg without paying on hotels and transportation.
