I believe Denon 3808, Onkyo 875, Marantz 7002, Yamaha 3800, Pioneer LX70 ... all are very good AVR ... am went to few hifi shops ... some owners said Denon, some said Pioneer, some said Onkyo, etc ... so in the end is based on your individual preference
I tested Denon 3808, Onkyo 875, Pioneer LX70 with different types of room setup, different brands of speaker, cable, blu-ray player, and different categories of blu-ray movie ... all the AVR was able to do very well, the only different was features to me I choose between Denon 3808 and Pioneer LX70 ... if got money ... Denon 4308 or Pioneer LX90 |

I think many people still don't understand between music sound (music lover) and movie sound (movie lover) ... anyway this is Onkyo thread ... so Onkyo is the BEST ... Yamaha, Marantz, Denon, Pioneer ... all sucks
