Hey guys, just got my Sony X9000h few hours ago and the display started to have a lot of flickering issues. Then I tried to remove all hdmi cables and power plug. After a few mins, I plugged all cables back and it back to normal. After running the Netflix for around 10mins, the flickering issue is back again... I did a factory reset right after but the flickering doesn’t go away this time. Was intended to contact Sony customer service but sadly they are not operating on weekend. Meanwhile, I’ve contacted the seller but no reply from him yet. Any pioneer here has a better advise that can fix such problem?

Because all I know is how to update instead. Lol Yea, it’s made in malaysia. However, am not sure is this batch of tv was made in a rush or I just got a lemon unit. Because it ran out of stocks at most of the shops in Aug and I didn’t found any similar complaints about this tv online locally nor oversea. Anyway, I’ve attached another video here that I try to run some nba show and it’s nasty...

Same problem as my 7 year old Sony TV. The LCD panel ribbon cable is loose. Need to use double sided tape and foam to secure it. Can DIY easily.

1. Change to another hdmi cable
2. Try to play videos from native youtube app/netflix app (without getting signals from other devices eg AVR, tvbox or players)
U need to do trial and error to isolate the problem. Reset to factory settings?

Did the factory reset as well but the problem still occur. What I noticed is this tv will start such problems when there're motion happening(even from remote control). Thanks for the advice, but I don't dare to diy it. Because the problem is just happen right after I receive the tv. So I think seller/Sony should rectify for me. The reason Im asking here is try to find out is anyone had such experiences that can be rectify thru some software setting. But still, thank you for the advice and hope that seller willing change a new tv to me so I dont need to take this path.

This is due to Sony cheapened out by not securing the cable with foam tape. They it let hanging loose. During a delivery, the TV will be subjected to bumps and jolts.

The seller replied me and he will arrange an on-site technician visit on Monday and see how's it goes. He told me if I requested a new replacement, it will take around 3 weeks to arrived Speechless right now.

Hopefully it will get sorted out soon. Cheers!

Mind if I asking, did you tried claimed your warranty with Sony back in the days when you having such problems on your tv?

What pissed me off is the SA doesn't show any sympathy to my case imo. The way he replied my msg is like 'you try run youtube first', 'update software' but I already send him video and image telling him i already did all that before hand. Still forward me a msg from his superior saying 'just ask your client update the firmware' after an hour.

Unfortunately most shop are only interested in selling, and there is almost no chance for 1to1 exchange.

Only this year I decided to DIY due to MCO. After securing the cable with a foam tape and bits of cardboard, no more problems.
