Recently I got an offer for 2070 super founder edition around 1.2k. I'm planning to upgrade my 1070 ti along with my cpu i5 8400, paired with b360i. I plan upgrading to i7-8700 or i9-9700/9900 (i prefered non-clockable as i'm not into overclocking) and stick with my b360i.
What's your opinion if I paired my next cpu upgrade along with 2070 super, or should I waited for 3070 to come out?

Plus, I'm gaming on 1440p at 144hz.

3070 is double that from rm2.4k onwards

Question to yourself: will you get double the performance by paying double the amount for 3070? Initial reviews said it is faster than 2080ti but no real life scenario benchmarks to prove that yet.

Depends on your urgency, if you need it now. Get the 2070s if it has decent warranty coverage. Else wait for 3070 - newer tech for future proofing. Heck, by then the 2070s may even be cheaper.

Sorry i forgot to convert the value back in MYR. According to seller, the warranty still valid but he cannot sure if the warranty can be passed down to next owner (seller from oversea)

I think it's just a good offer to pass on for the 2070s. If 3070 value that much (2.4k onwards) maybe I will pass the 3070 haha.

Many my friend urged to wait till 3070 come out. Maybe the 2070s price will come down more if 3070 come out. Or maybe i will miss out good price for the 2070s.

In a nutshell, don't be tempted by the cheap price. The last thing u want is an expensive rm1k brick and seller is nowhere to be found for warranty claims later.

I agree with you as I'm afraid to get rm1k brick from the seller. The seller stated that he's selling the card because he can't install it.

cheap bargain, u can buy first and use for few months. sell it once 3070 came out.
