I want to buy the electronic gadget that the barbers use to shave people's head.

I first tried physical stalls but they didn't sell.

Not even sure what I am looking for is really called.

Then I go browse lazada. Found a few listings which pictures shows what I am looking for but they are from brands I have never heard off before and I feel are suspiciously affordable.

Where can I find what I am looking for?

I did search lazada as well. But ended using my Philips beard trimmer with 1,3,5 and 7 mm blades. Cut my own hair now since March. Before that cut son's hair 2 years now. Not going to the barber shop anytime soon.
Here to buy

Try Google for
HairWorld Uptown Damansara
Hair World

Their physical branch in Uptown Damansara and HQ in Ipoh.
Bought my Wahl Cordless from Ipoh outlet.

Wahl Cordless

Selling for RM200.

Using Cordless gives you the freedom of handling the trimmer anywhere around your head minus the wire tangling.
I used it 3 times already and loving it. Now my hair looks tidy with fortnight trimming.

Look for Enchen from Shopee. Good quality about rm50 only. Wireless. I think the parent company is Xiaomi

Hair clipper and I vouch for Phillips as well. Get a branded one instead of those cheap knockoffs as these can last for years.

what are you planning to use it for?
Shaving your head?

If it's your first time doing it just get a cheap brand.
They last as long as you take care of them.

I have an off brand that has last decades already.
Should be able to find at supermarket with electrical area.

Back in May I bought a Geemy GM-793 cordless hair clipper from a physical shop on Jln Raja Laut next to Hotel Bintang for RM48, 6 months warranty. It works well, has ceramic blade and came with a little bottle of oil, charger and 4 guards.

At that time, the shop had no signboard yet. But the last time I passed it, there was a newly-installed signboard saying Al-Sehat or something...i forget...some arabic-sounding name. Anyways they have a small mountain of those hair clippers in the shop and claim to be wholesalers of such devices.

The instructions calls for 10 hours of initial charging time. Beware of similar-looking clippers that are named "Gemei" and claim to only need 5 hrs charging time. I am not sure, but they may be sound-alike imitators. I took a look in Shopee just now and many Geemy models are sold there.

extra info: In June I went to Airasia office in KL Sentral to ask, and they said such hair clippers are not allowed as carry-on luggage sad.gif

I got an Enchen too. It is extremely easy to use. My parents initially kena tipu by the hairdresser shop bought some China model for RM200, but so hard to use. In the end I got them an Enchen and they absolutely love it!

My Enchen has died after just 6 months. I had finished shaving my head and then it stopped working.

I just searched on YouTube, got a few videos about failed Enchens.

Time to try a different brand.

Nice follow up. Good to know. So, life expectancy is 6months, at the cost of rm40? Gonna stick with my trusted brand, it is cheaper in the long run.
