Guys,

Has anybody connected a portable HD to the HU through the USB port? I'm looking for something like this, and as far as I know, not all HU which supports USB can support HD. For example, JVC categorises their HU into G1 (Flash), G2 (HD), but I don't seem to be able to find such info with other brands.

Anyone have tried it with his HU?

I've got a JVC that reads my 40 gig hdd w/o problems. It's the model with the USB port on the panel & costs around RM500.00 only. Pretty decent sound as well and better than the Kenwood 5039 in terms of bass and user friendly. Remember that the sub woofer is very important.
