fast wearing brake pads - after 2 months

dear Sifus,

after 2 years of getting this new car, recently 3 months back i had just changed a new OEM set of Brake Discs and Brake Pads for front and rear due to excessive wearing.

one month ago, i had changed all 4 pieces of tyres with all balancing and allignment done.

now, yesterday i was at the official service centre, and was advised for my front brake pad balance is 85% while for my rear brake pad the balance is 65%.

both percentage was surprising to me considering the recent changes of all the above.

my driving style and distance are mainly city driving 80% and 20% city highway.... the only long distance i took during this period was a round trip from KL to Kuantan.

kindly advice on the situation.

Was wondering why the SC(? or outside) workshop replacing brake discs in a 2 year old car ?

I won't even replace a 2 year old brake pad typically .

While I can't grasp why the rear pad is wearing faster than the front (if both are of similar quality/brand) , I do expect relatively faster wear rate of a new pad and/or new rotor disc than run-in sets .

apart from car model, do you also use auto hold?

Peugeot 3008 P84 (2018)

yes, wear n tear item not under warranty, will change outside rather than subject to SC's ridiculous price and waiting period (sometimes).

auto hold as in the button (similar to hand brake)?

yes if that is so.
