I was betting on stuffs like maybe umbrella at their branch di 

switching from Public Bank Quantum. planning to get Affin Duo:

1) by any chance, anywhere on earth can get freebies for new Affin customer? 
2) planning to apply online and choose MyTown branch as collection point since it's nearby mah office. anyone had experience with MyTown branch? google rating 2.6 only. kek 

Last time I applied through affin website. I choose to take the card myself at MyTown branch

After a month no news. I called call Centre, customer service told me it was approved few days after I submitted. He asked me to call MyTown branch.

I called MyTown branch asking if they are holding my card. The staff asked me "who told you to call us"? I told her CS told me to call. Then she checked, got my card. Okay I said I will take it tomorrow.

Next day I visited MyTown branch and took my card. Everything was fine. Then the same staff asked me if I want to open online banking, I said yes. She said she will submit for me, it will be done in next day, after all done she will call me.

Then next day I wait for her to call. No call. Then I wait wait wait, five business days, I called MyTown branch, the same staff, after checking she said "got do lar" (ada buat lah).

Okay, fine. I am not saying you didn't do your job. I was waiting for your call.

First time failed to call me to retrieve the card. Second time failed to inform me the account is ready. I don't need her to call really, but she promised to give me a call. So I was waiting.

Really have bad experience with affin credit card. This card is cursed from the start.

Also maybe I am just a small fries, staff lazy to layan. 🤣

Seems like if spend less than RM8,000 on contactless payment, Affin Visa Signature is a better choice? Or am I missing something...

TnC updated yesterday, just noticed it.
max cashback is now RM 50 (>=RM3k) and RM 30 (<RM3k)

Affin website would be easier to apply.
They will send you an email, and you just need to reply it by uploading the necessary documents.

Of course, the freebies are better if you apply through RinggitPlus

Thank you for your reply. I called the bank, and CS told me that Affin Bank declined the transaction for Apple. They can only unblock it for 3 days and will block it again. Then I said this is a recurring transaction every month, meaning I need to call them every month to unblock it. Not only Apple but Google is also on the list. Netflix and YT Premium are still in the unblock state, according to CS.

Will check again today. One more thing, affin app keeps crashing when I click to login to see account. Already on latest version. Since yesterday.
