Hi all sifus, I’m new to affin duo. Just want to confirm TnG reload of RM1k will entitle for RM30 cash back. If I were to auto bill for insurance and TNB would I get additional cash back or I won’t because the RM30 cap has reached with TnG? Can anyone advise? Thanks.

If your prev statement balance is >RM 3k, then yes, you'll get the rebate but max capped at a total of RM 50.

Ah ok meaning after eWallet reload of RM1k even if I were to auto bill additional <RM800 for insurance and TNB, I’ll only get max RM30 cash back. I won’t be able to spend RM3k unless it’s RM2k. So this card is only good for eWallet reload to get RM30 cash back.

Hi I’m torn between affin duo and affin duo Islamic which one is preferred? Like public bank for eWallet reload, this only applies to their Islamic card only. Therefore should I apply for affin duo Islamic? Any advise can be given?

Hi all, just confirming if I can maximise the RM50 by doing the following?
1) top-up RM1k to eWallet
2) online or auto billing total amount RM735
3) the remainder of RM1265 can either continue top-up eWallet or use it on other related purchases that may or may not be in the Cashback 3 categories.

Can anyone confirm the above work to get RM50 CB?

without knowing your previous balance amt, don't know

if prev balance >3k, answer is yes

however your next cb will be capped to 30 already
*
I mean I’m just going to start using it but not yet. Just received the card. Use the above amount and wait for the statement then only pay back the amount if this is what it means by prev balance. So does it mean the second month I’ll be able to get RM50? Or am I missing something here?

Another thing is I cannot understand what you mean by below statement. If I continue to spend as above, I can only get RM30?

however your next cb will be capped to 30 already

Probably not exactly RM3k but I believe RM3001 still can get the max cashback of RM50, right?

read the t&c carefully

1st month...
your spending is exactly 3000.
1st month can get 30 cb (nobody reported getting 50).
then 1st statement balance = 3000 - 30 = 2970

2nd month...
spend exactly same 3000.
but your previous balance (1st statement balance) < 3k, will capped your cb to 30 only.
then 2nd statement balance = 3000 - 30 = 2970 again
you can never get 50 cb cuz your previous statement always <3000.
*
ic now I get it the CB give immediately and will reduce the statement balance of the month itself. Ok, interesting and tricky.

So meaning below usage should work right?
1) top-up RM1k to eWallet
2) online or auto billing total amount RM735
3) the remainder of RM1315 can either continue top-up eWallet or use it on other related purchases that may or may not be in the Cashback 3 categories.
The total spend will be RM3050. I’ll expect to get RM50 immediately on the 1st statement.

I just activated my card and wanted to get max RM50 CB in Feb’24. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

1st month, not sure can get 50 cb or not. <-- you try this, and monitor the cb in your 1st statement.

but your spending uncapped the 2nd month cb to 50.
*
Ummm…. is it stated anywhere cause first month I am able to meet the requirements 🤔 cannot imagine or fathom what reason they will use for not giving max CB of RM50. If really cannot I don’t think I want to spend that much on this card for the first month.

not stated anywhere lor

1st statement, where got previous balance to determine your current cb capping?

assuming you can get 50 cb, you still need to spend at least 3050 to qualify 50 cb next statement too
*
Ah ok I’m not from banking industry so may not be familiar but I get what you mean. I think likely I’ll won’t be getting CB in Feb’24. My first month of usage in feb’24, I think the CB will only be given in Mar’24. That’s the reason why you said I need to deduct the CB from the total amount I spend. With that I think the CB that I’ll get in Mar’24 could be RM50. I believe that is how it work like many other bank credit card that offer cash back. You only get the following month and not immediately on the first month of usage.

Can top up Boost, Grabpay, ShopeePay and maybe Setel.

I don’t think I can use Shopeepay for fast food like McD right?

Between boost and grabpay which one better? I have never used both before.

Ummm I don’t like the idea of being charged RM10 so not gonna TopUp TnG anymore. Thinking of way to reduce the usage of TnG now.
