MOTO transactions

if initial payment done from online, then can be setup as recurring payment (system)

usually nirvana payment is done at their site office; they manual process the payment as MOTO and setup manual standing instruction.

hmmm.. but, the same payment have been using the same for past 2 years... so, dunno y suddenly become MOTO... n this happened for 2 months case for @annoymous1234

CS told me is due to the claim code from merchant... For previous statement (which eligible for cb), the pos entry code is 100 & mail indicator is 2.
after that change to pos entry code is 100 & mail indicator is 3 (not eligible for cb)..

The CS said need to refer to the merchant on the differences of the claim code.

2 possibilities...

1. maybe system loophole. moto was excluded in t&c from 2021 Apr. prior to that, moto not excluded (not stated in t&c). loophole means system didnt count/identify moto txn, eventhough already covered by t&c.

we've seem many banks/cards occasionally got this "delayed' enforcement until someone internally wakes up and plug the loophole.

anyone else with recurring with other merchants also faced this?

2. maybe nirvana probably changed processing method few months ago. maybe previous recurring was running fine until something screwed up at their payment partner... or nirvana decided to change it ... who knows....

no point arguing the past. not enough sample size to hypothesize the events .... just move on. thumbup.gif

Affin responded and said the transactions submitted by the Acquiring Bank is not classified as online. e-commerce, or recurring transactions categories. Look like Nirvana there is having issue on autodebit and they manual recharge to our card?
*
Not sure if it's related, I received an SMS that says thanks for using ur card at Nirvana, which is strange, cause all these while, auto debit doesn't send me SMS.

Thanks for the info by the way, so meaning it's Nirvana side, not an error by Affin, right?

i think we should put a stop of repeating discussions related to 1 single merchant.

probably should use thread below for discussion on MCC of any merchant.

For Affin Duo/Duo Plus MC, is the any way to determine when is the annual fee going to be charged?

Let's say my card expiry date is 5/2026, does this mean my card was issued on 5/2021 (assuming that card expiry is 5 years based on my current understanding) and I need to make 12 transactions before May each year?

card expiry has nothing to do with Annual Fee

Affin duo/duo+ got AF waiver for 3 years only; not following card expiry (which is the validity of the card scheme number generated for you).

Question is how do i know when is the 3 year free annual fee waiver is supposed to end? I cant recall when i first activate the card and we wont know when the fee waiver ends.

Spend RM0.10 x12 at Petrol stations lah, or RM1 at Shopee/ShopeePay/TNB/Sesco.
Peace of mind.
