If it is RM 1667 then also not too bad. biggrin.gif

See what the actual announcement will be. Usually tiered spending is horrible for customers. Already ready to cancel the card if it becomes useless.

Also, if you have a dispute on the cashback, those cards with multiple layers of terms and conditions will always take longer and more hassle to resolve.

Affin card was good because it was simple even though it's just 3%, if banyak conditions appear then bye bye.

Affin learning from boost. Build a customer base then destroy it.

outstanding = didn't pay in full. You need to incur financial charges. Not how much you spent.
*
No way that's how the new card works. It that's the case the card has no benefits, it's feature would be reduced penalties, which is useless for people who can manage their spending well.

It's probably what the others have mentioned in the previous posts, which is total spending in the current monthly cycle and net the amount paid before statement date.

thanks for confirming, then if that's the case, if my statement date is 14th, so 14th july onwards, on 13th july i did 3080, then i should able to reap entire rm80 without any interest right?
*
No, depends on when it is posted. affin is based on posting date not transaction date if I remember right.

Why 3080 not 3k?
*
Because the cashback is given on statement date which will reduce the 3k to below 3k.

I apply AFFIN Duo on 18 May,
approved on 27 May,
Sms received on 9 June says shall receive within 1 week 17 June)
Today is 19 June, receive nothing..

These cards take too long to reach my hand. My friend also took 1 month+ to receive the card.

I apply RHb shell on 7 June, receive it on 16 June..

Yup. Depending whether you have anything to spend or not.

Sorry. I thought I read some earlier comments that we need to factor in the cashback on top of the spending in order to ensure you meet the RM3000? Hence that's why RM3080 right?
*
Because you read half didn't read the other half. See cybpsych's post again. If want to meet the rm 3k balance then need to factor in the reducing amounts. If not, then it's flat 50.

assuming you always want max RM80 cb, every month

1) spend RM3,050 or more (RM2,667 on eligible transactions + RM383 others) by July statement.

you'll earn max cb RM50 only though, since your June statement is <RM3,000 already
2) this depends whether you want Aug to get RM80 cb or RM50 cb.

if RM80, follow (1) above.
If RM50, spend just RM1,667 on eligible txns. <-- this is "simpler" to follow as you dont need to monitor your statement balance every month biggrin.gif

This is well said, too bad cant pin it.

Looks like the "previous statement balance" start from July then.

Hey guys, if last month I spent 2.4k but was posted on statement date - this month I can only spend rm600 to get the the full cb rm80 (2.4k from last month posted on statement date + rm600 from this month right?)
*
How did you arrive at this conclusion?

cause the 2.4k was posted on statement date (as I only manage to make those transactions on the day before - so the cb was not reflected in the latest statement). so I'm just wondering for this month, can I only spend rm600 or more than that for this month's cb?

Or I can still proceed to spend like normal up to rm1500 or more, since i will only be getting last month's 2.4k cb on the next statement.  rclxub.gif sorry just unsure for this kind of scenario...
*
If based on the FAQ, it seems like you would get the cashback next statement date. However, the worry is on your statement balance in the next statement since 2.4k is reflected in your current Statement, so your next statement will only be rm 600? Then you wouldnt get the full cashback in the subsequent month but capped at rm 50 instead, since the Statement balance would be below RM 3k.

Not sure which branch to call to collect the cards as I've applied online for them... hmm.gif
Did you choose "collect at branch" or "postage" when you applied for the cards?

I'm getting impatient now as it has been 9 days since approval and I have yet to receive them. blush.gif

most people waited 2-3 weeks.

Penalty in terms of fees? other than the sst of RM25, dont think so.
