QUOTE(okyjace @ Jan 12 2021, 12:06 PM) Went to pick up the new credit cards at the branch this morning. Managed to activate the cards via phone banking. But I'm quite disappointed to find out now that I have to go back to branch again to register my mobile for TAC to enable online account banking. Basic customer service - I think the officer should have asked me about it this morning. Personally starting off with a bad impression already for Affin bank. Card activation should be able to do via SMS. For online banking access, you need to go to the branch. I believe it's more than just register phone number. You need to fill a form and pre-register one of your credit cards for the access.

Good news, my bank agent just called me that my application has approved. However due to MCO in HQ state, she said that cards delivery could be delayed.

Affin cards appeared in Affin Online. Also noticed that there're some changes in Affin Online. My Dashboard page has several icons at the top bar. Also the bars colour in the CASA quadrant changed from yellow to dark blue.

QUOTE(okyjace @ Jan 18 2021, 04:57 PM) New card user here. Noted Cash Back is limited to RM80 per month. Is the limit per calendar month? Or credit card billing month - which is 16th each month for me? Sorry if this has been answered already - I couldn't find answer after going back a few pages. Statement month and transaction posting also important

QUOTE(okyjace @ Jan 18 2021, 05:04 PM) Sorry, the FAQ doesn't seem to answer my question. If I spend MYR 3000 online on the 10th January. Receive MYR 80 cash back on the 16th January per statement received. Does spending on the 20th January still get cashback on the following 16th February? Presuming your statement is 16th. Your RM 80 cash back is meant for transaction falls on 16/1/2021 is from 17/12/2020 to 16/1/2021 Your spending after statement date on 20/1/2021 will get be granted for cash back in the next statement which will be generated on 16/2/2021

QUOTE(zhixie @ Jan 18 2021, 08:25 PM) Hi. The cask back cycle is by count by 1st to 31st of month or followed statement date Statement month QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 18 2021, 05:47 PM) be mindful on the posting of your transaction vs statement/cashback date; it can be a "yay" or "ouch" thing depending on your spending timing 1) yay, you want it to flow to next cycle by spending exactly on statement date; or 2) ouch, you want it in current cycle but somehow transaction get posted on statement date (still flow to next cycle anyway) This post has been edited by GrumpyNooby: Jan 18 2021, 08:27 PM

QUOTE(okyjace @ Jan 19 2021, 09:11 AM) It's like Public Bank; only posted transactions matter and taken into calculation. The only difference is that posting on the statement date which will be excluded from the current statement month cash back.

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Jan 19 2021, 09:26 AM) Different from Public Bank. (CB calculated on statement date) Same as RHB. (CB calculated 1 day before statement date) But only posted transaction matters but up to statement date minus 1 day. Doesn't have RHB card so no prior experience with RHB.
