QUOTE(lowpro @ Mar 10 2022, 08:48 AM) Our tapau culture is too strong. Having talked to an Indonesian friend, contrary to how we ride our bikes they actually don't put basket or box on their bikes, if they have to carry something they will usually bring backpack. Come to think of it, I don't even see the Vietnamese doing it, maybe it's just us where we value practicality over style and speed/aerodynamics. |

The entire line up is cheaper than it's main competitors by Yamaha.
Considering that the Y16ZR goes for 10K before shop top up... this one seems to be a better value proposition all across the line. |

All I hope is that it doesn't end up becoming one of those motor panas so consumers have more choices than just Honda mopeds... I think these should give it a good chance of being safe:
1. Controversial looks 2. No good for basket 3. Less moddable compared to Yamaha bikes |

This and the S1000GX look so much like the Yamaha MT series design, gotta wonder if Yamaha designer moved to Suzuki

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Nov 10 2025, 02:29 PM) the current NX500 (and the outgoing cb500x) already got inverted forks and dual front brakes already. This is closer to the Tiger sport 660 though, with 17s. The CB/NX has 19s Given that the SV650 is being sold at 30K, paying 10K more for the fairing and an upgraded meter seems a tough sell to pragmatic buyers like myself, even though they will price this above 40K for sure...I like that they are making sport tourers again. Not everyone wants a tall and overweight ADV. I had thought they are binning the vtwin. I wonder how they would price this under the Vstrom 800RE. The new bike could be a winner if priced under 45k ....and below the 800RE's 55k. Remember the old vstrom 650 was sold under 40k, not too long ago....the new bike would undoubtedly more expensive than the outgoing vstrom 650. The chinese are throwing everything in. The clone QJ650SVT is being sold discounted to around 33k new....with brembos and luggage thrown in. Not going to consider a "touring" bike without cruise control. And with this being ride by wire, weird they left it out. Honda is another idiot of not even including CC on the 750s and even the 1000 hornet. Maybe the new, just announced 1000GT perhaps? I don't think cruise control matters that much for this bike, though. This seems more targeted to those who wants only one bike, rides mostly for city commute and only do touring only occasionally. They focused on this bike being 'slim' and having a low ride height during EICMA. |
