Sad to see Suzuki dropping the v twin in the "V"Strom. But I get it...it's well overdue for a proper update.. Hopefully they can eek out a bit more performance with the expected lighter weight....maybe now with a more compact motor, can follow honda and angle the engine down, lowering CoG.

V-twins are falling out of favour in the face of the rise of the parallel twin, except among manufacturers that hv made the V engine an inalienable part their brand identity such as Ducati, Aprillia, HD etc.

Thats the part I found odd. In some article on the new 700 twin, they showed a picture of a turbo twin. Very very interesting.

Looks like there is a new arms race brewing in the middleweight segment. Honda's new 755 might pack 92hp....very impressive numbers.

News on the parallel twin turbo has been a while, and back then I was looking at the SV650.

4 Jap brands, YHKS, with K having the ER6, then Y the MT07, now S, and then H are following suit with the Hornet twin.
It's time for S to replace K given the potential bike models that may be coming out. Chinese bikes are re-using the ER6 engines somewhere.

I wonder why they even dare to sell a bike that is so outclassed by the competition. Furthermore, even their name is not as strong as the competition. Even CFMoto with their 250SR single can push out 27.5hp from its DOHC engine with 22Nm of torque and it doesn't look bad either.
