QUOTE(joshhd @ Jul 29 2021, 02:19 PM) Malaysia’s 3G shutdown has a major hurdle and it has nothing to do with 4G device or coverage https://soyacincau.com/2021/07/29/opensigna...onnected-to-4g/ just like my place, the telcos advertised my area under LTE-A, by worst LTE only. But in reality I am connected to 80% of 3G and the rest at 4G. I am only about 1.2km from the cell tower.

Well, 2022 is here and 3G/H+ is still broadcasting despite Celcom declare that it's 3G shutdown completed. In fact H+ can be use.

Me in Melaka, 3G is still in the air despite the so called the 3G sunset in media announcement that urged the public to change their devices and sim. I am guessing the sunset is nowhere as here is still sunrise until end of the 2022.

lol, previously they took into serious urging us to change device to full 4G support as 3G no longer here latest by 31st Dec 2021. Telcos offering cheap 4G phones with contract of course, scaring us about those sunset sunset stories. Lastly Feb 2022, 3G is still happy dancing on the stage especially in rural areas. Those took the phones until contract ended after 12 months or more also most probably still can use 3G at that time.
