The idea behind the DNB is good.
Private telcos are driven by commercial and profit interests. They would invest in areas that give them the good Return of investment (ROI), that would mean Klang valley and the state capitals in malaysia. And places like East Malaysia (oops called Borneo States now), and East Coast will be underinvested.
I come from low yield area , and i can tell you, some telcos never bother to upgrade the network here for years due to perceived low base users and low ROI.
DNB is to get all the local telcos to combine their resources for fast role out nationwide.
Instead of Digi and Maxis build 5G network , both in City A, why don't get Digi to build it in City A, Maxis City B, celcom City C, and all of them share their network?
just wait and see if they are good ...dont be ended up the taxpayers to foot the bill in the end of the dayPrivate telcos are driven by commercial and profit interests.
