A very useful thread. But I have one problem here. Hope someone may guide me.

My friend's laptop is originally coming with Vista OEM Home Edition. But changed to XP Professional (Maybe technician change for him, i dunno about it). Now, I want to reformat his laptop (unable to enter XP->blue screen come out half way). However, it was written that my hard disk is not found OR maybe due to manufacturer. So can this method solve my problem? Or I have to use XP Pro OEM version?
