yay malaysia christmas snow!

QUOTE
Snow in Brazil occurs yearly in the high plains of the country's South Region (comprising the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná). Elsewhere in the country it is a rare phenomenon but has been registered several times.

QUOTE
Although the snow is normally restricted to higher elevation, there are also many reports of snow at low elevation such as IjuĂ[8] and Porto Alegre[9] (330 metres (1,080 feet) and 10 metres (33 feet) above sea level, respectively).

well it happens annually in high places, and also has happened elsewhere before... so I guess it's not that surprising

QUOTE(sorbonne @ Aug 22 2020, 11:45 AM)
Surprising or not depends on the reaction of the people in the area. Brazil is very large.

It's just like saying it has snowed before at the top of Mt. Kinabalu therefore snowing in KL is not unusual.

Also considering those tweets barely any have interactions (likes/replies/retweets), and mainstream media have not picked it up, I'd say it's not that unusual
