Just gotten my Illegear Onyx Ryzen 7 laptop 3 days ago. This is my short review. This is me after close to 20 years on Mac environment.

1. Illegear order waiting time. I got it after a month. Their estimated/promised time to send delivery is WAY OFF. If they promise that your product will arrive in 3 weeks time, double that and you should not be so disappointed when your laptop didn't arrive on time as promised.

2. The OS install. For somehow their stress test really stress test until the windows 10 trial doesn't have a YES BUTTON on it's UAC. That means I cant activate the windows unless I reset. That means i will lose all the free colour calibration provided with it. But this is small issue - I can just tweak with with my eye (cross reference with my current production laptop).

3. The keyboard SPACE bar. I had to really tap a lot harder else it won't register. Still it's a matter of getting used to it.

4. But WHAT IS REALLY DRIVING ME NUTS is that I CANNOT adjust my screen brightness and keyboard backlight without holding down the Fn keys and the corresponding F key. It's a two hand operation. Even the Illegear support cannot help. I managed to remap the volume button but not the rest.

Can any expert here can help me? I can do these easily with any other laptop that i encounter but honestly didn't expect this on a 2020 super high end laptop.

It seems AUTOHOTKEY app can help but I dunno how to program the script apart from getting the volume up down and mute (which is working at the moment)
