My City just glitched today. My wife who is a front passenger got off the car, then my car beeped “No Key” despite me having the key and inside the car. Had to turn off and restart engine...

Guys, sincerely need your advise.
I am looking for a car to get my parents as their current car (Persona, 1.6 Auto) is pretty old and its wearing out. Was keen in getting them a Honda City 1.5S. Now I am aware that the booth space in the Persona is much bigger though the interior of the city fits 4 adults appropriately. Now, I have owned other car brands and have never had a Honda before. Mind sharing / enlightening me of any issues with the new City ? How reliable is the car plus any common issues ? Moreover, within the same price range, do you recommend us to go for the city or look for other car's model. Spoke to an SA but obviously the SA is inclined to give out good reviews of the car. I owned a VW before and the DSG was a night mare! Thanks in advance This post has been edited by shankar_dass93: Jan 13 2021, 03:32 PM |

QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Jan 13 2021, 03:31 PM) Guys, sincerely need your advise. first of all what is your budget? if you are targetting 1.5S City I am assuming your budget is around 70k to 80k. I am looking for a car to get my parents as their current car (Persona, 1.6 Auto) is pretty old and its wearing out. Was keen in getting them a Honda City 1.5S. Reliability wise, Honda's engine and transmission faulty rate is very low. ( Not saying 0 but very low ) and can be considered as very reliable. Need not to worry about that . |

The out-of-factory engine oil is only mineral oil and it can last 10k KM already |

The out-of-factory engine oil is only mineral oil and it can last 10k KM already Honestly i dont believe in 20k oil filter change, but i guess the new engine is capable to have more cleaner oil with 0w-20 fully..hence the filter only need to change once reach 20k at sc and but i guess honda knew their engine is too reliable for going more than 300k mileage.. If anyone read this, just change ur oil filter every 10k even at sc. Wont hurt ur pocket much too prolonged ur engine life.. oil filter filtering then 'small dirt' wear n tear inside the engine.. once too dirty will cause car losing power.. then u will want to change car soon enuf to buy new car.. Oil is pretty much the same factory or outside.. |
