Bowie Wu Fung (born 18 January 1932) is a Hong Kong actor and director with family roots in Guangdong, China.




A matinee idol in the 1950s and 1960s, he began his acting career in 1953, becoming an overnight success with his debut film, Men's Hearts.



In his long career he has starred opposite many of Hong Kong cinema's leading ladies, and of particular note are his many collaborations with Josephine Siao in 1960s musicals.


For these roles he earned the nickname the "Dance King" for his dancing skills. In the 1970s Wu Fung began working in television and continues to do so as a contract artist to Hong Kong's TVB, with occasional guest appearances in films.

Wu Fung remains a very much loved and respected elder in Hong Kong's entertainment industry, and is "godfather" to both Jacky Cheung and Nick Cheung.

during the 1980s especially TVBs, many middle-aged actors were always casted as father or grandfather characters

nowadays, some actors/actresses already in their late 40s or 50s are still casted as those young and single free-spirited characters.

Based on this pic I agak is bcoz they were fighting over some young amoi... Son fight with Edison over amoi, dad also fight with Bowie over amoi... Runs in the family.

If I am not mistaken, Patrick was complaining about Kenneth Tsang and Kenneth Tsang teasing Patrick back. Bowie was trying to stop the fight. The 4 old guys was filming a travel program for TVB in 2017 and this happened during the promotion of this program.

It was later revealed that the fight was just a publicity stunt. The 4th old guy Joe Junior was even helping the reporters recording the whole staged incident. However, TVB say they never staged the fight for publicity.

Patrick Tse is the one hated by other stars but they are all experienced actors. The days where they compete with each other’s were back in the 50’s and 60’s. I believe it was just a publicity stunt.
