Ikea Ladda (I'm using browns, the white ones are better and apparently made by Eneloop). Quite cheap and very reliable. Been using for items such as toys, shaver and even mouse for more than a year now. Recharged countless times as well. Performance seems to be exactly the same as day 1.

Your normal alkaline battery is 1.5v anyway normally fully charge the battery for nimh will be around 1.4V as the juice runs out it drops to 1.2 or lower can Google for some nimh battery charts

Ikea rechargable are eneloop rechargeable rebranded(internet told me).

Don't expect batteries can be rechargeable like new for 10 years or wut ever years it was advertised enuf la.

I bought the GP NiMH 1300mAh 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries at Mydin hypermarket. IIRC, cost about RM8 each. So far so good for low-powered appliances, ie already recharged >40 times = still can last during use.

For power-hungry remote-controlled toys, you will need to buy the more expensive 1800mAh or 2100mAh ones.

Avoid NiCd rechargeable batteries because they have memory-effect = must charge only after discharged/depleted to <10% battery power level, otherwise the batteries won't last long during use after being recharged.

It's placed in something eg the toy,

Just impact force, got dented

If want to prolong the battery life, get a smart charger that can charge each battery individually (normal charger need to pair the battery to charge), monitor battery level and cut off charging when the battery full. I use this 4 slot one: https://shopee.com.my/LiitoKala-Lii-402-186...2830.2155526821 since I have many rechargables, but there's 2 slot and 1 slot also.

Can I use this charger for the recommended Eneloop battery? How long does a charger typically last? Assuming it's taken cared off

Also, how long does it take to fully charge a battery?

Can use on many type of rechargable battery. Not sure how long can use, but I use almost 1 year still doing fine. Just sometime need to rub off the dust from the metal of no use for long time. So far still okay. My 1000mAh take about 5 hours to full. It can detect what type of battery it charges and adjust the voltage and current accordingly.

Ts, if you are up to it ... mod it to use a rechargeable 18650. You will have to put in a vld depend on the voltage of the toy.

You can buy the Enloop starter pack with 4 AA battery and charger.

If you hard core user, can get the nitecore charger, its the top of the range product, find one that suits your requirement.

this ikea rechargable battery is good.

I used 4 x of the AA one for the digital door lock.
used more than 6 months and above no issue. very reliable and battery life is long...
