Hi, just wondering if anyone ever applied personal loan from AEON before?

I took a rm5000 personal loan from them , need to repay about rm8000.

In short, i defaulted my installment for i think 2 years. Last month, legal agency appointed by AEON ask me to pay rm6k for full settlement(discount price). I told them i pay rm3000 first and another rm3000 later before end of july. They agreed. I paid the initial rm3000 but failed to pay the other half. Comes to this month, i i paid rm1400 which the most i can afford. They say i failed to settle the payment within July which was agreed hence they reverted back my outstanding to rm8000. So total outstanding now is rm3600 and they want this amount to be settled by today. I tried to nego if i can pay in 2 months time. They say not possible. I told them i really i dont have that amount of cash already as i already paid one big sum of money to them.

I also receive calls from a lady name Pn.Liza from AEON HQ, she is the one handling my case. This is lady is freaking rude, she raised her voice to me so I quarrel and raised my voice back to her earlier just now. She called my parents asking me to settle the outstanding or else they will freeze my parents bank account and visit my home. I told her i wont pay the the balance in this month. If you want, wait for next month. She shouted THEN IN CASE YOU GO TALK TO MY LEGAL OFFICERS. I wanted to argue with her again but she immediately hangup the call.

What possible action can they take against me?
My parents do not have aeon bank, does aeon have the right to freeze other bank account?
Also, aeon personal financing do not have guarantor, how could they possible to take action against my parent?
She also say will declare me as bankcruptcy. To my knowledge, if debtor owe more than rm50k only can be declared bankcruptcy.

If i know where this lady stay, i swear i go to her house. I cannot take these kind of threatening.

AEON can obtain a garnishing order from the court on your bank account and freeze it. Then they can take whatever is required to get back their money.

Are your parent the guarantor for this loan ? If they are then they can be implicated as you.

my parents are not my guarantor. I dont know how they got my parent contact.
I do not receive any letter from the court also. Lets say they got order from the court, do they have the right to freeze bank account apart from AEON?

If your parents are not your guarantor, then they are safe. AEON cant touch them except appeal to their conscience to help you.

If a court order is given, you dont even need to be informed this has happened. A garnishing order is when the court decides to freeze your account and award what is required by AEON. Then they can take the money and done. This can be done without your consent. However the courts will need hard proof you havent paid.

Your case has escalated quite far already. Its either you pay up or face the legal route.

I see..yes my parents are not guarantor. Okay this is even making me more tilted. I feel like this lady is threatening me by saying freeze my parents account and visit my home to take my household stuffs la. God damn man...i fking hate this kind of people. Abuse their power. I almost scolded vulgar words to this lady on the phone just now. I swear if this world got no law, i'd kill her.

End of the day, i dont receive any court order.

So if i failed to pay the outstanding within this month. They can do whatever they like since i wont be informed if court is given?

Willing and able are different things lah.

So TS, have you contacted AKPK? They may have experiences dealing with this.

Bro...court order is not one two days process. It will take some time and they can impose cost on you whereby charge you for all the cost you have incurred to recover their funds ( court cost, lawyer cost, bla bla bla ).

Its a personal loan. They cant touch anyone except you and guarantor.

The lady issue, well its good on you that you didnt lose temper. They can say anything to intimidate you but say only, no action isnt.

You can try to engage AKPK to help but I think your case went too far liao. I might be wrong, you can try.

To be honest, there is no way around this. Its best you try to clear it as soon as possible. They will continue to chase until you pay. Dont be surprised they send people to your house and kacau you. But if they ask for collateral like your car and such, thats no way. Can report police liao.

Not saying supporting her rude behaviour but you defaulted for 2 years and defaulted again on the compromised period and then told them you will default again...in their view, you are probably a problematic customer already. She should still be courteous but you weren't very polite and nice in your response either based on your own post above.
Try to understand her job is to collect the debt and you are making her cannot meet her kpi. Think of that before thinking why she was rude as well. Probably had to deal with many customers who time and time again said they can't pay up.
But you should find legal advice if she is serious on taking Legal action. Since your parents are not the guarantors, don't think she can take legal action against them but you should do some due diligence to be safe.
