I am currently using dunlop d05 and it’s time to change. I would like to know which other tyre has similar design as this? 1. It helps prevent kerb rash on the rims due to the tyre walls are slightly “More outside”. 2. The lining of the tyre, marked in green depicted below, I think it makes the rims look bigger? As opposed to the goodyear assurance triplemax 2 design. Especially since my rims are black, so the tyre lining would be more obvious.

QUOTE(yuss_yusoff @ Aug 10 2020, 12:51 AM) i think is Dunlop D06 and Toyo TR1 QUOTE(bonnycy @ Aug 10 2020, 02:16 AM) Put 205 Your tyre wider then will have that look QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 10 2020, 04:32 PM) That's called rim protector. Since D05 has, then the newer D06 probably would have it too. I remember PS3 and Goodyear F1D5 have them too. Thanks all for the reply, will take note. Have found that even the same model of tyre can look different. Sample below. So i guess the tyre size and maybe rim size affects also?

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 15 2020, 11:50 PM) Probably different manufacturing country or different year of release. Maybe. Then need to depend on luck. Hopefully Toyo TR1 will have what I want.

QUOTE(Chyan @ Aug 21 2020, 04:36 PM) How is the durability of your Dunlops? TR1 is good but I'm afraid it'll get bald quicker. Condition like this after 30k+ km. Can drag till 40k km perhaps.
I dont mind if TR1 gets bald quicker, nvr try UHP tyre before, so want to try.

QUOTE(Chyan @ Aug 22 2020, 09:43 PM) Wah. Quite lasting. If performance can still be maintained by at least 50% then it's a pretty good tyre. TR1 will be quite a poison. QUOTE(6UE5T @ Aug 22 2020, 09:50 PM) That one can still go another 20-30k km, still very thick. But the sides already worn. Still can tahan so much longer? For now i feel it’s still ok in the dry, not when it’s wet.
