Hi guys, as per my tittle ... looking to get myself a new desktop but it has been few years not updating myself in IT... any suggestion for a gaming rig that budgeted around 5~6 k?
Hmmm... budget exclusive of mouses keyboard those, focus on the rig and monitor ...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ryzen 4000 & RTX3000 series GPU will come in 2 or 3 months, looks like currently is not a good time to buy unless you urgently need it.

If you are streaming, I would recommend RTX 2070 Super instead. AMD VCE is crap.

Haha.. tat y i ask can 650w bronze handle 2070super... never build 1 for anything below 750..but all is ryzen 7 n above
Easy (efficiency does not always dictate quality - there are 80+ Platinum units that has mediocre performance). Even a high quality 550W unit can do this easily (I myself run a 5700 XT with a Seasonic 550W unit, and it worked perfectly)

Fyi, in Y2020, i never recommended Ryzen for gaming ever since Intel launched 10th gen, youtubes has lots of evidence why Intel out performed it competitor. Unless you're in tight budget, you'll never regret to go Intel 10th gen. Not able to find i5-10600K that fit your budget.
Why picked 970 EVO Plus, bcoz best processor should paired with best SSD. Want cheaper, go Adata SX8200pro at least.
The above price are from LZD & Shpe, if you spend more time scouting you might get even better deal. Find cheaper SSD, PSU and Casing might able to accommodate into your budget.
You might want to wait for Nvidia 3000 series, coming soon with +30% performance!
BTW, should go 1440p monitor since its equipped 2070Super (2060 for 1080p)

TS asked for a 5-6K machine and yet you recommended a near 7K machine
The SSD is overpriced, and the PSU is more than enough even for a HEDT build and yet you didn't even include a monitor
No point paying so much for a platform that doesn't even support PCIe 4.0 either
The 10700K is not worth it either, especially when compared to the 3700X/3900X (also AM4 has the ability to move to Zen 3 chips, which closes the gaming gap even further)
There's the issue of high power consumption and cooling requirements too (your build doesn't include an aftermarket heatsink, which is required if you are going for a build like this)
Only the 10600K is the recommended pick in the Comet Lake lineup, but that's even a hard pick when you consider the cons of going Intel (no PCIe 4.0, expensive boards, little upgrade path, hot and consumes lots of power, worse multithreaded performance which will be useful in future games)

10600k at 5.2 ghz 4400hz ram best cpu of the decade kill all of AMD high end cpu for less money and 30 percent faster in most games .If u want to buy AMD wait for 5000 series this November 5ghz OC and IPC incease by 12 percent it will be faster then Intel but currenly Intel is faster and new graphic card arrive in September around 50 percent faster for the same price wait dont buy now .
10600K is actually an ok CPU considering it has 6C12T same as the Ryzen 5 3600. Rendering wise, it's on par. Gaming wise, the fps is higher since clock speed also higher compared to 3600.
But have to remember that for the extra fps you gain, you pay extra as well. 10600K @ 999 compared to R5 3600 @ 799. If you want to OC the 10600K, better get a good VRM Z490 mobo. Also, you'll need to buy an after market cooler too. All these are additional cost that needs to be considered too.

...at this price and factoring the price of a decent Z490 board you might just as well go for a 3600 + decent B550, and you get PCIe 4.0 and Zen 3 CPU compatibility

R u sure rtx 2060 is that price? Does not seem right. Where u get this pricing? Too expensive
Kingston a2000 500GB rm349? I just bought for RM285

yeap, investment wise... hmm it's not fair to spend approx 1k extra for that 10-ish fps. Better to save that money and grab a better GPU instead.
Total: (4670) With Acer XV272UP Monitor 1299 (5969) With BenQ EX2780Q Monitor 1800 (6470)
The 2k gaming/workstation is the way to go for premium gaming experience , if you play with 1080p monitor, then above spec can be adjusted for lower price.
If you prefer Intel 10th Gen built, then price just RM50 extra.

Hard disk is 5400rpm turtle. Power supply is overpriced for the quality you are getting.
Also 250GB is just not sufficient for games these days (you have games like CoD:Warzone which takes up the entire SSD capacity)
The pricing of that B450 board is pretty unacceptable when you consider that the ASRock B550M Steel Legend/ASUS TUF B550M-Plus can be had for slightly more (with significantly better VRMs that will happily handle a 3900X/3950X at stock, along with PCIe Gen4)
Any PC case that does not have front panel mesh should be avoided IMHO unless you want an oven case
