I just opened one via my friend.. Seems fast enough 3-4 weeks tops.. just Skynet form to and fro within a few days.. No need go branch...

Oh by way, they will fill up 90% of the form for you since they will WhatsApp first before sending form to you.
So basically, i just sign sign sign... Then sent back. Voila!!

Yes it took 1 moths to get account activated. I switch over from Rakuten basically is because of stability issue. U will end up loosing money because your orders is stuck and not able to process in rakuten platform.

I leave contact on M+, when did you all get contact by M+?

I signed up online last month. Took 5 weeks for the approval. Tried to activate the account but can't because I'm a safari user. Wrote to support but got no reply.

I just used my brother's computer to successfully activate my account. Hoping that I can revert back to Safari after activation. Is it safe to do so?

I have some questions on fees and charges.

For M+ when I open an account I incur RM10 for CDS account opening fee.

What other fees involved aside from brokerage fees minimum RM8 and stamping fee RM1 for every rm1000 transactions? Does this rm1 involved buying or selling or both?

Yes the stamping fee is imposed separate on both buying and selling.. also, you need to pay 0.03% clearing fee to bursa as well besides the brokerage and stamping fee

Guys , i m new to this and i am trying to go low cost as possible. Between, should i rush and go for cimb itrade , try rakuten or wait 2 months + for m +. What do you think ? Gonna start low probably 2k for "tution fees"

Can try rakuten or itrade or both and do small trades...but dont expect to be smooth during heavy transactions ...u may lose money due to lost opportunity to buy or sell

U can trade while opening with m+, no conflict, u can always transfer ur money and/or share over once open, but suggest just close all position to avoid delay and hassle and just transfer cash...

The broker fees wont differ too much unless contra/margin
