If i can get the Note 20 with a RM1000 discount  ,selling off the buds included,probably some more discount only at the roadshows , i would not blink my eyes buying it except the inconvenience of queing up is a hindrance. I think most would be buyers is waiting for the roadshows.

At RM2899 ,i cculd not be bothered if the back panel is made of glass , plastic or even mud clay. The exynos is still very usable. After some tweak by Samsung , there should be some improvements.

If you can get either one for 3k+ then go for the Note 20U. Laser AF would have at least solved the auto focus problems plaguing the s20u. Battery life wise probably the same, both using same chip but note 20u smaller battery size with adaptive screen refresh.
Doubtful that any optimisation done to the chip itself
Anyways full reviews of the phones will only be out in a week or two depending on when the NDA expires. Or only after launch. Unless the preorder really excites you, just wait a bit before pulling the trigger. Still got roadshow offers. And even after preorder period when there's leftover stocks they'll still bundle the buds together. Same thing happened with s20 launch.

Wah, I almost pre order Note 20 but after reading this thread I have to think twice before order. Waited to change phone since my Samsung Note 5 becomes very slow now. Guess I go for Note 10+ instead or waiting for the price to drop.

For sure take the Note because its the latest offering and keep your fingers crossed they did some overnight improvement over the Exynos 990.

for me battery drain even surely worse than sd865, wont be a huge factor because that issue can be overcome using powerbank / change of charging habits etc.

the strong reasons to go for sd865+ version if the note20u e990 has signal issue, poor performance and bad thermal.. all these 3 are very hard to find the fix.

i believe performance wise sd865+ definitely is better than e990.. but as per what we have seen, note20u sd865+ also not performing well (shame on you samsung)!.
regarding thermal issue, as per jerryrigeverything discovered, seems like there are 2 types of cooling and that isnt sd865+ vs e990 related. so means that is a gamble now.

now left signal issue. this one needs more feedback from note20u users here in malaysia. not general feedback from past users of previous samsung exynos smartphones because different phones might have different design and layout etc.

at the end of the day both has pros and cons. Although as for now the only positive i can think of E990 is local original warranty, cheaper price and freebies. Yes Note20u SD865+ is definitely a superior device, but the question is, does the E990 note2u is that bad?

Nope. They are supposed to come up with Exynos 992 but instead, due to problem they reverted back to 990 which is used in S20.

If youre buying from aztech make sure they pos to you if they change the shipment update. If not you cannot ask for refunds due to late delivery.

My experience so far with aztech:
Ad says in stock but have to check with them. Sometimes its actually preorder in which they claim itll take 2 to 10 days. That was a lie in my experience.

They will update shopee shipping status that its already shipped. Thats a lie. This is to make sure their shipping rating is high. Even for preorder they will say its normal so that shopee doesnt cancel the order.

I waited two weeks. Shopee status updated that i have received the item so i cannot refund. They wont give any refund after that period because theyll claim that they already pay the supplier. Thats a ridiculous excuse for me bcause theyre a phone company. They can just sell the phone. Thats what they do.

This is my third week going to fourth and still havent receive the phone.
