now days people no matter iphone 11, max pro, note 20, s20 ultra, p40, mate 40 or whatever flagship phone,
mostly for FB, IG, tiktok, messenger...
rarely use the full performance from the phone  ohmy.gif

not all user performance geek xD

My issue with the Exynos is not about performance, as you said it's more than adequate to get the job done day in and say out. My problem with it is signal strength and idle battery drain, in particular with the last Samsung flagship I owned which was the Note 10+.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Smartphone Has Serious Problems

https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/20...-note-20-ultra/

QUOTE
08/09 Update: a fascinating update from prominent Samsung insider Ice Universe has revealed that my misgivings about the Note 20 are not misplaced. "In fact, most of Samsung's employees are not optimistic about Note 20," says the anonymous leaker, explaining that the phone's design was part of pressure from leaders within the company to "maximize profits and limit costs". This seems to have backfired, however, with reception to the device being highly critical (in contrast to the popular Note 20 Ultra). This is typified by a subsequent poll Ice Universe held, where 85% of over 26,000 voters said they would not consider upgrading to the phone. That's a damning number and Samsung's new entry-level Note is shaping up to be a damaging own goal.

True except cameras.

Extremely powerful algorithm to remove camera shake and video noise during the shot instead of after the shot, depends on powerful cpu gpu and it's optimization.

Try any mid range and see whether they can stabilise 4k well

It is immediately apparent

Even desktop grade cpu gpu have difficulty with Adobe premiere warp stabilizer after the shot.

Truth but also the world situation was like...
2010 begin they tried to combine everything together in 1 device as an main device,
people don't bring camera for video or photo shooting more,
people don't bring mp3 player or book for time killing purpose,
people don't bring laptop for social media surfing...

but when they combined everything in 1 great device, people starting getting more device to separate the phone's job...
go pro for videography
good camera for photoshooting
expensive MP3 player for better sound
kindle for e-books
laptop for facebook social media posting
*which i got a friend use mac book pro just for Facebook/IG doh.gif

once i realize too many device around for all that task, mega_shok.gif
i stopped myself for buying more weird thing around...
end up 1 gaming laptop and 1 phone and 1 camera,
satisfied innocent.gif

honestly i never tried SD device,
but i will get 1 and try soon...
from my past note 2,4,7,fe,9,s10+
i know i need disable many apps,
do many trick and even buy those samsung disable background apps to maximize standby time.
but end up best result were 1 hours 1.5% drain with my note 9
*without tweak & apps disabling up to 3~5% per hours*
most of my time sticked with wifi, so barely with signal issue. console.gif

Actually no

Sales have been declining for mp3 players and cameras for a very long time now. Some camera businesses even went out of business. Many people used to buy compact cameras and mp3 players. That segment has almost completely obliterated except for niche high end expensive mp3 players and high end compact with 1" sensors.

After phones started to get ip68 rating, and rating like 30 minutes under 1m water, gopro sales also dropped.

Some people with money might buy whatever they want but that doesn't reflect the majority of people and the entire industry in general

I've had Note 3, Note 5, S8, S8+, Note 8, S9+, Note 9, S10, and Note 10+, all also on Exynos. Never had a Samsung with SD till I tried the S10 lite earlier this year and the difference became so clear to me that I stayed away from the S20 range laugh.gif

I don't play games so I'm not too concerned about heat performance. But in terms of standby time and signal strength, it's literally night and day.

I thought you were the one who said that they are putting the cables back in the box?

Yes. But you have to pay for the charger then. Rm299. tongue.gif

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Aug 10 2020, 09:17 AM)
Don't forget there are also a lot of people who have been waiting years to change their phones so of course they jump into it. For them note 20 is much better than their 3 - 5 years old phones so yeah it makes sense that they are proud and happy. For those who keep changing phones every year or every few months, the values of phones are different for them.
*
Fair enough. But paying top dollar for a half baked phone isn't exactly what I had in mind. tongue.gif

Nolar bro... its 256GB. If you compare head to head, you have to compare with Iphone 11 Pro Max 256GB which is Rm6099.

So it is still cheaper, but its getting close. nod.gif
