I get to know that Huawei has been banned in a way by US government & therefore Google & Android will no longer support.

If we intend to buy Huawei phone now, how to check which models are not supported by Android & Google??

Hi bro, if im not mistaken only google does not support...android still in use as the os..for model starting from last year mate 30 series until date model does not have google mobile services (GMS)

newer model, like P40

mate 20 pro and P 30 series are last you can get with Google mobile services

I switched from mate 20 pro to mate 30 pro, without GMS and the only thing I miss are Instagram and Line

I bought the Chinese version though, as in from taobao so it came with WPS and other pre loaded softwares that allowed me to read and edit PDF, word excel ppt by default

I am amazed that I can really just function as well as before without GMS

don't buy huawei now. they having alot of problems. internally it's very messy. so even your phone updates are slow.

Probably any new Huawei smartphones you hear from now on won't have Google Mobile Services in them.

The last few Huawei devices with GMS were Huawei P30 and Huawei Nova 5T, iirc.

Yea the core is android is still Google. Its like having a Nokia with symbian. The biggest support for the OS is Google.. is it worth to risk it?

GMS is a very important feature. Having android is like having windows 95. you need windows 10 for alot of software.

Without GMS, phone just don't work.

If you are a corporate user don't buy huawei.

Hua wei been banging alot ads non stop even sponsor many bloggers to promote it could also be trying to clear stock than cannot sell.

I thought u can transfer Instagram via phone clone app from mate 20p to mate30p.

maybe it's hms itself or maybe it's the transfer itself. out of 105g content I think I only managed to transfer 90+

You can see how Chinese companies are so unethical to promote that their phones can function by sideloading. They should be sued 99.

Yea hua wei doing is consider illegal sideloading apps. They even keep promoting it.

The key question who verifies the apps in hua wei apps gallery is clear?

I give an example like mobile games when there an update they will update Google store and app store so will hua wei apps gallery have the update or need wait they sideload First?

My advice is don't buy any Huawei devices until the ban issue is settled. Even though you sideload GMS into the latest Huawei phones, you cannot guarantee that it will be fine forever. Also, you will never know whether there is any "backdoor" in the sideloaded apps or GMS, so your data could be hacked or stolen anytime.

For Instagram use InstaGrabber https://f-droid.org/en/packages/me.austinhuang.instagrabber/

Install F-Droid, it's rather useful. Or you could try using MicroG to emulate GMS

its alright I primarily use insta to watch amoi, I've switched to 小红书and found it to be better lol!!!
