i was quoted with RM 2180 cheapest by Suntek PPF for CX5, there are other companies quoted up to 4-6k for full front only.
Is it okay to take the RM2k one, possible kena conned or something?
What should be the normal price range?
Need some advice & recommendations, thank you.

I got XPel PPF for my CRV
Front part only
Front Bumper, Side Mirrors, Front Light, Front Fog Lights, and Side Steps at RM1.5k
With front Bonnet and fenders its RM2.5k, i didn't do the full front

I think 2k for full front is about around that price

For SUV, front bumper + hood would be close to 4K. Fender 1K+. CX5 front light pretty big, maybe 200-300. Usually, if you have big ticket items they will throw in side mirrors, door handles for free.

So around 5K for Xpel PPF. Go for Xpel if you have the budget, they are the industrial leader.

But even for Suntek, 2K full front is rather suspicious.

just ppf your lights. that will be sufficient. the rest of it you either vinyl wrap or drive slower. save the money on maintenance, holiday or petrol.

From my research Xpel is better
Me got quotation from magnus pro, but the price close to each other, not that much different, its how you bargain with them, and if you go to xpel, only few installer compare to others, soo the risk of you getting fake product is low

If you in ipoh area, i can intro to the one who installed to my crv

3M was the first to make file to protect helicopter blade, but Xpel is the first that make the film self heading.

I haven't heard magnus pro until they pop up in FB ads too. They maybe new player that tag along with Ceramic Pro to gain exposure, since Ceramic Pro has been in coating market for very long time.

Xpel is expensive, no doubt. They have been in the industry leader for 20 years. If you look at those who go to race track, almost everyone have Xpel.

Those who run Nurburgring taxi also put on Xpel for daily track use.

To me, no point to PPF the lights also as you'll need to replace the whole headlight assembly when the LED goes out.

Bro,

if you really want to go for full car PPF, with good pricing plus good quality, you can consider Bruxsafol self healing film. Film very similar to Xpel self healing film, it like twin.

https://youtu.be/LElxq80MXzQ

I only can supply in roll, 1.52m x 15m. Enough to fit a SUV. Pricing very close as you mention price 6xxx. But take note, no installation. Installation itself for whole car cost about 1.5k to maybe 2k. But if you have few car and only wanted to do on front part, is good for sharing and the cost can reduce. Please PM me if you want to know more.

Do not waste your money on PPF for car. Just the tried and tested wax and polish will do best.

Agree, most people own their car less than 5 years now. Just keep it running and let it go when you have some 2-3 months warranty left, you get better price for it. And enjoy your next new car tongue.gif

The flim is great, the self heal thingy is true and works as what they said, really can just pour hot water and the film will back to initial shape, or just park your car on hot sun, after few times under sun, back to normal

Got very obvious stone chip damage at front bumper film, I only realised when dirt build up under the damage film,
Sent back to installer and they replace the whole section for very minimal fee,
cause the film unable to heal,, this is aroud 2022

Cons
Since it is machine cut, dirt stuck at the edge of the film, if your car is light color, looks dirty
At both side mirrors at the edge, the film cannot hold properly, because of machine card, and also because the film is thick
I sold of my car and on my new car also install PPF film at GGuard, they are not using XPel anymore, I dont know which shop using XPel anymore

I asked GGuard why they no longer used XPel, they said its because of the glue will become super hard to remove if you want to reinstall after several years

If you are using your car for city driving, dont install it, for me, I only install it because this car is only use for long drive and 80% hway
Most if stonechip can be remove on your own,, and can be easily see only for darker car,,

Pros
My car is almost 100% scratchless after 4 years at front side
By having PPF film, this is really a selling point for me to sell my car, biggrin.gif , got above average price

For those who want to PPF
My advice no need to do full car, , , unless you are driving super car
Very rare stonechip come from behind because most of the time we are driving forward

Just do full front PPF and spend your extra money for good tint and good ceramic coat

This what I do to my new car last month after happily selling my previous car with extra money in hand

Hmm. I did full PPF because it also helps to reduce door dings and scratches which may otherwise be caused by careless door opening episodes…
