Just thinking why not TnG still allow first 1K cc reload with no fee but restricted to non-transferable at least for real spending...

Easier to just charge for all cc reloads.

Kinda getting fed up with the shitty rewards and cc reload charges of TNG eWallet. Am now thinking to keep just enough in there to top up my TNG NFC cards and for RFID toll payments then use Grab eWallet instead as my main spend tool.

Or is Boost a better alternative?

same...reload enuf for toll and nfc reload.
grab better as their point still can use to waive certain purchase/bill. Boost point also similar like tng

Grab it is then. Well, TNG was fun while it lasted. Things change, I gotta move on.

Which bank's app has QR code and able to let merchants scan (like TnG)?

I checked Bank Island Be U and I can only scan QR, and not be able to let people scan me and make payment.

What is Bank Island Be U?

CIMB Octo app can generate a DuitNow QR to receive money.

I am not taking about Receive Money. I am asking if any other bank's app (same as TnG) which you can make payment to the merchant and let the merchant scans you, instead of you scan them to pay.

Like you go to 99 Mart, you pay with TnG, they scan you and deduct from your TnG.

Oh I get it now.

MAE can. You swipe up to show QR for merchant to scan.

Is Account Verification (eKYC) mandatory for me?

QUOTE
Yes, effective 20 Dec 2024, Account Verification is mandatory for all TNG eWallet users. Completing the eKYC process unlocks several benefits, including an increased wallet size, TapSecure (a one-tap approval feature for more secure transactions), the ability to transfer funds, and protection through our Money-back Guarantee policy.

Verifying your account is also a regulatory requirement in line with Bank Negara Malaysia’s guidelines on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).
