Ah shit, has been reloading Shopee Pay with cc and then transfer to TNG via merchant QR. Now TNG send me email say merchant QR has been suspended and ask me to provide written explanation cause suspect fraud.

QUOTE(skty @ Dec 11 2024, 01:46 AM) you playing with fire and eventually one day will get burn. if there is any chance the suspension get released, do not try to be creative again. QUOTE(johnchen @ Dec 12 2024, 09:00 AM) Even if you use someone else's name to scan your merchant account, there is still a chance it will be flagged, lagipun it's the same name to the same name. Ya learnt my lesson I've sent them an email to apologize and a simple explanation...see what they reply This post has been edited by NothinUnusual: Dec 12 2024, 09:22 AM |

QUOTE(sjz @ Dec 12 2024, 11:34 AM) Bear in mind, merchant QR, all amount pay in deemed to be a business revenue. LHDN will look into it if its not declared in tax filing. of course some will argue LHDN might not noticed. but if they look into it, will be even bigger of a problem for not declaring business revenue QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Dec 12 2024, 01:43 PM) Not sure unfortunate or fortunate, I only have been doing this for 3 months and based on my calculation the tax that I need to pay should be the more or less the same as what I get from cashback so worst case is just give back all the cashback. My only worry is any legal complication. |

QUOTE(sjz @ Dec 12 2024, 03:47 PM) i think you don't need to worry on any legal complication. Ah okay. As long as I declare the "extra" revenue from the TNG merchant QR then I am good right?as the worst scenario tng cn do is suspend the merchant QR code, which they already did. they can't & won't do anything more than that. but tax implication is something need to look into. sjz liked this post
