Oh, you meant scanning the merchant's TnG eWallet QR & deduct the money from the card? Yea, if that's the case then the answer is no.
*
Thanks that's what I thought too. My friend who is a PM for TnG e-wallet has already told me even before the app was launched, it will not be possible to do it. sad.gif

Sorry for the dumb question. But what's the advantage of using e-wallet when we can use paywave?. Is it just because the sake of cash back/rewards shit?
*
Your concern is valid.

What is the point using TNG e-Wallet to pay/buy something when I always can use CC to pay directly? Double effort on CC --> e-Wallet --> merchant.
Since, only if bank stop rewarding cash rebates/point to e-Wallet reload in coming trend.

But, if I'm using TNG or any other e-Wallet to transfer money to other friend/user, YES, it's an advantage.
Whether you do it for split bill, pay debt or exchange with cash, up to you. You can't do that with CC.

This is a good discovery. Thanks.

I'll try out in some parking that accept TNG card (linked with TNG e-Wallet) and still have PayDirect rebate available. Haha

I think this requires some input via trial & error. I know for a fact that Penang's Gurney Plaza parking charge directly to the card instead of eWallet.

My msg is moving into this thread rclxms.gif tq tq.

Yes. Trial and error. Need to pay extra 10% for parking charge on top hourly charges.
I hesitant unless I'm very rush. No time go to the machine and queue up paying.

Not worth the extra 10% just to avoid queue in paying parking. Heck most of the parking machine don’t even have queue, so where is the justification of the extra 10% charge.

I don't agree with the 10% service charge but it is useful for ladies who only leave mall late night, walking alone to the machine. Safety is important. smile.gif

Sorry for not being clear.

I was trying to ask if I can pay merchants with my TnG physical card balance which linked in the app. I guess the answer is no.
*
Touch 'n Go physical card can be used to make payment at some outlets like Watson's. The cashier taps the physical card. No connection with eWallet.

Yea but what he was referring to are actually car parks that uses PayDirect where the card transactions actually goes to the TnG eWallet.

Thanks. Aware of the direct physical card usage but just wanna make use of its e-wallet since the acceptance is pretty high in MV and The Gardens. Anyway, I guess it's not possible. Not really a big issue for me. smile.gif

Unfortunately up to 10 trips only.

From the App, it shows I have used 10/10, so the extension of time is meaningless to a lot of users.

Anybody use TnG to pay Maxis Fibrenation home broadband?
I was thinking of using TnG to pay using the "postpaid" button, but it asks me for phone number. I'm not using Maxis for my mobile phone line.

I have 2 accounts so I got a total 15 trips each. One for work and one for personal, the work one I have fully utilized, but I have been holding back on using the personal one until last week as I realized its gonna end soon, so I ended up using personal account for work, now they quietly extended the campaign lol, if they announce it earlier I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of claiming both accounts sweat.gif

Hi, how did you manage to have two accounts? I thought only one account per one Identity Card holder?

Yes. That's pretty much the same KYC requirement for all eWallets these days.
