Hi.

Old CPU as a backup.
256mb of RAM 🤣

Windows XP Professional 2002 SP3. 32 bit.

FF x86 versions are so slow.

Tried FF 38 - 41...slow 😅

FF 32 so far ok.

IMHO no point using XP with that machine, heck even 256MB is more fitting on Windows 9x sweat.gif

You might want to try a minimal install of AntiX Linux instead icon_idea.gif

Also, why not use that 256MB machine as a retro 98 gaming PC? Certain old games may not work on modern machines, and there's plenty of old titles that never got a modern release on Steam/GOG icon_idea.gif

Old machine runs better on linux, also because not enough ram.
Windows XP is too out dated and you cant even use USB to boost the system.

Most modern website use too many cpu and gpu resource, old system will not be able to catch up, most android phone made in the 2014 probably has more ram than your system.

Dont use outdated software, malware will eventually bite you in the ass
