Hi bros,

I've heard that new xbox360 are using falcon chip which made it less vulnerable to 3rod issues..

if that is the case.. I saw most halo 3 bundled limited edition xbox360 are having falcon chip.. does this mean as long as its the limited edition of halo 3.. it is surely falcon chip?

How can we tell if a set is using falcon 3 or even if it is a refurbished set?

to know it's a falcon set:

- check the box for the LOT Number. If it's > 734 then it's falcon
- the power brick supply must be 175w
- check the console, it should made by November 2007 and above.

Thanks for tips!

the halo LE that i have comes with a zephyr chipset. so ya, to answer your question, it's no guarantee that if you purchase a halo LE console, you will def get a falcon chipset... instead, check the lot number, assembly team and the voltage on the sticker...or if you can pry the console out of the box somehow and if they let you, try inspecting the interior of the console for your falcon chipset. hope this helps.

Thanks to you too!

and to further add,

doesn't mean you get a falcon chipset, doesn't mean you won't get 3ROD anymore
