.mov is laggy to edit

So I know that in order to fix that issue, I have to convert it to MP4 for edit friendly for Premiere Pro, but none of the free converters is allowing me to convert from mov to mp4 due to the large 2gb file size. Any alternatives ?

Since you are using Premiere why not create proxies? It helps when editing since the timeline becomes smoother and less frames lost

Try Handbrake?
I think it's not a problem with the extension but rather your hardware. You may need to upgrade your RAM. |
