Based on the speed test results given, the download speed is normal and within the acceptable range. Please be advised that the download speed of lower than 1.5 Mbps will be considered as slow browsing.

Kindly be inform that actual speed is influenced by a stronger signal in the area and the speed of the data is different and depends on several factors such as the distance from the site of the tower, the user's location, the network performance, the type of phone and the modem used and the number of simultaneous users in a particular location.

If you facing the network issue while using 4G network only, it means that 3G network is more compatible for your location and more better to received rather than 4G network right now ya.

Please be advised as well in case most of U Mobile users in your location are connected to 4G network, the 3G network or H / H+ is still better to get connected to.

Thank you.

This is wat umobile replied to me.

Yet 1 very important person is surprising missing in action 🤭

Come & defend U Mobile by saying why didn't test out first with dummy sim.. cheap rm10 only 🤣

I recently contacted U Mobile to ask why their 4G is slower than 3G. (With speed test screenshots)

4G:
Download: 2.3 Mbps
Upload: 6.4 Mbps

3G
Download: 6.4 Mbps
Upload: 3.3 Mbps

And these is their responds:

"It depends on what is the strongest signal coverage at your area, if your location has stronger 3G than 4G coverage then your phone will detect the 3G signal coverage easily and this will be reflected to your internet speed, as more user hooked to 4G at your location, it will also contribute to the reduction of signal coverage strength for 4G and that will also contribute to 3G signal better than 4G"

"Looking at the screenshot of the speedtest, both upload  and download speed taken under 3G and 4G coverage is considered ok"

So in my understanding, this means that a lot of users are hooked to 4G, and thats why 4G is slow, so if you cannot get 4G in high speed, is not their problems, because "a lot of user are hooked to 4G".
And in my understanding, 4G is awfully slower than 3G is considered ok to them.

So, as you can see from above, the 4G is awfully slower than 3G. And again, the Download speed and the Upload speed of 4G is the other way around, Upload speed is faster than Download speed. What kind of 4G is that?
For my knowledge, 3G suppose to be running at the Download speed of 10 Mbps and above, and 4G should be running at the Dowload speed of 30 Mbps and above.
You guys can't ever give us a proper 3G and 4G, now you are launching 5G? Are you kidding me?

It always the worst among other in a specific area. But sometimes, it is the best among all

Depends on location, my place here UM performs well.

Full bar signal, VoLTE/WoWiFi, speed average 100M, slowdown during peak hours at night but still very usable with speeds averaging over 20M so unlimited prepaid 6M has no issues achieving full speed all day.
