I think many people started buying this phone since DirectD promo. At Rm599, it is really a good budget phone.

Well, for potential buyer, this is my verdict so far:
- Snapdragon 675 + Adreno 612
   • Antutu v8: 220,626
   • Geekbench5:- Single: 504 | Multi: 1584
- 6gb ram
- 128gb internal memory (UFS 2.1)
- 18W Qualcomm Quickcharge 3.0 (Type C)
- Triple camera setup:
   • 48mp Sony IMX 582
   • 13mp Ultrawide
   • 2mp for ultra low light video (feels useless though)
- Camera2api Level 3. Can install GCam by Arnova with XML config by Chrono.
- Support 4G+ on both interband and intraband CA ( I got 4G+ on Digi & Unifi Mobile)
- Support NFC
- Support HDR10
- Support aptX HD
- Support EIS on video recording at 4k30fps

-Gaming:
• Pubg - Smooth, Ultra | HD, High
• Mobile Legends  - Graphic Ultra
• CODm - High, Framerate Max | Very High, Framerate Very High

Cons:
- No casing at all in Shopee. Really. 🙄
- Front camera is kinda bad
- Camera in low light situation is underperforming.
- Battery is just average with around 6 hours SOT.
- Screen under direct sunlight.
- Widevine L3 (bruh.)

Camera situation can be fixed by installing GCam but battery life is somewhat of a concern especially for long gaming or video/movie sessions.

Now that Android 10 is out for TCL Plex, I wonder if an approval for Widevine L1 is in the works because last I checked they claim to try and get it on this device. Hope they follow through with it.

I have one on order and aside from those potential issues, it seems to be a very promising phone for the current price offered.

Im not really sure about that. I have no problem to connect to 2.4ghz wifi at home. Maybe you can try to add network manually?

Im using this one, though it ain't perfect. I use it only for low light image and portrait mode. Everything else, stock camera app seems better to me.

Average. For my usage, i can pass 6 hours SOT, but normally I didn't fully charged and started charging again before reaching 20%. If use from 100% to 0% I guess it can reach 7 hours. Just barely.

This was when i'm using it 2 days ago. charged the day before around 11.30 pm. Some browsing before sleep. The next day battery left around 90-92%. went out around 11 am with data on and back home just before midnight and continue using it with wifi. still a little bit juice left.

lol don't think so. probably just the way u are using your phone and what u are using it for. I can actually get 11h sot if i just turn on the wifi and use my phone for socmed and web browsing with 20-30% of brightness.

but gotta love the fast charge. 1-60% in 40m and 100% in 1h 50m.

Nothing can beat Realme 6 at Rm699. Better chipset, faster 30w charger, 90hz screen, 64mp camera, 4300mah battery, faster software update.

Camera is quite nice in good lighting condition but doesn't perform well at night. I think someone posted a camera test video on youtube . You might wanna check it out.

If don't mind the tiny battery, topup a bit can get Mix2s.

A device almost end of support, but it's still more than powerful compared to sub RM1k devices.

RM200 extra is quite a bit for anyone looking in the sub RM600 price point who are trying to squeeze as much value for their cash as they could and aren't looking to add more to their budget.

This is still the best all-rounder for the price if you don't mind trying out a new brand. It might even convince TCL to release new updates and patches more frequently if people keep buying it(I know I'm being hopeful here haha).

Got this phone recently. Just want to ask if anyone is having the same issue as mine. Using prepaid umobile, I am not able to receive incoming call when on 4g. Tried changing settings to 3g then can receive the call. I am not able to see any volte option in the settings.

DirectD has photos of the silicone casing made specifically for PLEX which has both clear and black options. Great news because most of the users are either using TCL 10L or the hard case that comes with the phone which doesn't have any grip whatsoever.

Wish they could do the RM599 promo again because they raised the pricing to RM699 only because they're now bundling it with the wireless headphones that were once an add-on.

It wasn't just a security update. NXTVision now has "sunlight reading" mode and a new icon, the notification light option is there which glows on the side when message pops up, Smart Manager has a different look & animation and there's a "User Experience Improvement Program" located in System settings.

Let's see if they roll out more updates in the coming months. Personally, I'd like to see more customisation options in the lock screen & wallpapers as well as Google Discover feed.

This brand is seriously terrible...

Asked their CS about enabling VoLTE for U Mobile and they only responded with "waiting for reply from software department". After 1 month, still nothing and they straight ignored the messages.

Technically they should've enabled VoLTE for all telcos, but then I heard only Digi and Unifi Mobile is enabled, but not for U
Mobile.

Really terrible after sales support lol.
