QUOTE(highwind @ Aug 7 2007, 03:05 AM)
1.The new rule posted by luige is set by Clander, the World Final's FIFA head marshall. The new rule should be up very soon. The reason luige post it this early is because he want us to have more time to train with international only.

2.Yepz, we are not allowed to score from a computer taken free kick. This is because free kick in less than 20 metres will have a very high percentage of scoring if the computer take for you.

3.The rule is edited by Clander. The small quote outside set by luige is a reminder for you actually. In the world finals stage, the process of kicking the ball out is something you should already know. So the actual rule does not need to tell you to do that. It's natural fair play attitude.

4.What do you mean by short ball?
Just for your information, if you accidentally pressed Q+A, Q+D or Q+W at your OWN HALF, it's recorded in the fifabot and there will be an alarm sounded. So, whether the goal to be disallowed or not, it's up to the marshall.

5.I know sometimes you can accidentally pass into the small area. So try not to score after that to avoid any goal to be disallowed. Practice your corner well, and you wont make that mistake of passing into the small area.

6.Injury....err, i cant help. But i agree with you that there is still injury even we off it. So it's up to the marshall whether we can still continue the game or restart the game.

I hope i did help a little here.  thumbup.gif

Well said and thanks luige for the fast feedback and update! Well done! Just waiting on the game format whether is it best of 3 or home and away or just 1 match format? Any news?

"Well said" was refering to highwind's explanations. "Thanks" was addressed to luige for the update he posted here regarding the latest FIFA07 WCG R&R. FYI, i have great respect to all of them! Don't get me wrong, i am not just complimenting one specific individual only but all those who help out in informing and keep all of us updated. Good job to all those who contributed in the forum. Keep up the positive attitude and keep on improving this forum topic. Thanks

Regarding bpwx questions on the tolerance zone and the unintentional Q+D move on own half, here's what i think:

Base on luige's latest FIFA07 WCG R&R update it says:

"The use of the Q+A, Q+D and Q+W keys are forbidden if done from one's own midfield. "

So therefore, there are no tolerance zone as far i understood from the given R&R, as long if there's the use of the Q+A, Q+D and Q+W done from one's own midfield, it's a invalid and foul move and a penalty depending on the marshall will be given.

Maybe luige or highwind can verify this? or any other WCG FIFA07 marshalls.

Thanks

That's why there was so much focus on "JOGA BONITO" aka "THE BEAUTIFUL GAME"!!! Don't spend so much time of looking for ways to manipulate the game legal system. Instead, better improve your gameplay and win with style!!!

Here's a scenario about disconnecting issue during a middle of a game.

Game is goin on and then your opponent did a tackle and he got red carded. So he has 10 men and then the game got disconnected. Technically, the team with 11 men should have an advantage due to the opponent's risky move.

Based on the current R&R:
Any players sent off the field (red card) shall count as a goal each for the opponent when the match resumes

If the disconnection occurs at an early time, 1 goal advantage do sound like a light penalty coz we all know how bad it is to play with 10 men. Especially if your defense is down to 3 men.

if you read the rule, every red card consider a goal for their opponent.

Good answer... It's true that we can still win with 10 men. Technically it's good to train playing with 10 men, cause you'll never know when we do face the scenario whereby we did a risky move and risk getting your players sent off. Coz it's still okay if you got 1 defender sent off and you change the formation of your player whereby 1 midfielder takes the role of defending and can still play with formation of 4-3-2 or 4-4-1 to provide the necessary defensive backup.

Try this:- (i know it's kinda out of the topic)

Use barcelona and assigned it in such a way, whereby ronaldinho will be called out to become the "layup man" when 2nd player is called to become the "layup man". Pass or take a shot, and you will realize ronaldinho who is standing there as "layup man" continues to stay there throughout the whole game until the ball is being played out of play.

Added on August 22, 2007, 2:25 amAnd yeah, one more thing. I think i might know how to move the keeper to stop those ridiculous dead position freekicks aka the "soft touch freekicks". Can't really move the keeper literally but it helps to increase saving chances.

Sadly to say the method to increase the saving percentage of the keeper (be it catching the ball or flicking it off) has about 5 out of 10 times (about 50% or so). About half of the time, the ball will end up at the back of the net and half of the time, it will either be saved by the keeper via catching the ball or fisting the ball away to the side. And it depends on the keeper and the freekick taker too. Higher stats Goal Keeper will have greater chances of saving and higher stats freekick taker will have greater chances of scoring [Was using Peter Cech as Goal Keeper and C.Ronaldo as the Freekick-taker during my analyze]. Well about ~50% chances of a save is still better than nothing.
