Hi LYN,

I want to compare these laptops, strictly for gaming and design work, which would u pick considering work and play?

Games I play:
- Modern Warfare
-The Cycle
- Honkai 3rd
- Dark Souls 3

Work stuff :
- Office
-Photoshop, Lightroom, premiere
- Filmora 9

Laptop Comparison

Aorus 5
- 10750H Core i7 10 gen
-16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe
- RTX 2060
- 144hz LG IPS panel full hd NTSC 72% SRGB 100+%
- RM 5799

Asus TUF A15
- AMD R9-4900
-16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe
-GTX 1660ti
- 144hz IPS panel full HD 67%SRGB NTSC 45%
- RM 4999

Asus G14
- AMD R5 4600H
- 8GB RAM (soldered) and 512 PCIE
- GTX 1650
- 120hz 14" IPS full hd 100%SRGB NTSC 72%
- RM 5299

Huawei Matebook X Pro
- 10510U Core i5 10 gen
-16GB DDR3
- MX250 Nvidia graphics
- 1TB PCIe SSD
- 13.9" 60Hz 3000x2000 LTPS
-RM7999

Recently heard from Msian reviewer AMD too panas on laptops in mesia, so kind of leaning to Intel 10th Gen here. Color Accuracy is a must (that's why I mentioned NTSC).

Which would you pick gassss? whistling.gif

AMD R9-4900 better for heavy video editing
RTX 2060 better in gaming

just my personal opinion i will get the Asus TUF and use the extra money to buy a external monitor, more immersive in gaming and easier to edit video

From the list above and from your needs, I would say Aorus 5.

I mean comparing the i7 10th gen and the AMD, i'd say in this case the maximum benefit he (or she) can get out of it is the Aorus 5, as the gap is very very close between the two processors...and the jump in GPU is also justified.

The price difference is like 900 ish or 1000 ish and the NTSC% of the Asus tuf is really bad so if youre editing on it the colors are gonna be trash

Color gamut coverage =! color accuracy my friend... there are a lot of factors that makes a display color accuracy, not just color gamut coverage sweat.gif

IMHO, I'll go with the Aorus 5, but the Intel chip is just not good when compared to AMD's equivalent

TUF A15:
1. Low quality display + terrible cooling, and Hardware Unboxed already has advised to avoid this one:

Zephyrus G14:
1. Soldered down RAM (unacceptable in gaming laptop) + no Ethernet port + low quality display

The reason why most AMD laptops run hot is due to the fact that those laptops tend to have terrible cooling (see the TUF A15 video above) icon_idea.gif

Part of it is due to the high thermal density of the silicon itself

Yup, but still doesn't really discount the fact that the TUF A15 cooling is just awful in general (even HWUnboxed had to dremel the whole laptop base in order to improve cooling) icon_idea.gif

You said G14 has low quality of display , also you mentioned there are a lot of factors that makes a display color accuracy, not just color gamut coverage,

i wish to learn from you about those factors and the G14 display quality quote , mind explain more detail here ? hmm.gif hope you can put the Laptop review article publish by your own , not quote from other youtuber

Things that make a good display (color performance)

1. Color gamut coverage
2. DeltaE (color difference)
3. CCT (correlated color temperature)
4. Brightness distribution

...and more importantly, the factory calibration of the display panel itself icon_idea.gif

You need to look at proper laptop reviews like this one from Notebookcheck:
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-Zephyrus...b.457817.0.html

The Zephyrus G14 soldered RAM also makes RAM upgrades very tricky (unless you want to lose CPU performance by sacrificing dual channel memory that is) icon_idea.gif
