No different and depending on what you want, i have Maxis and Unifi running without problem, only suggestion to invest of your own router, the stock router may turn your down.

For me Maxis good & less downtime but if you do torrent, Maxis throttled the data packet to cannot download. Unifi no restriction on this matter.

Not sure about fax since nowadays all comms uses fiber, maybe digital fax may be the solution but its quite a niche market need. So far Maxis network equipment are more reliable, stable & less downtime compared to Unifi coz I got both. FYI, Maxis does provide mesh network in latest package through AirTies. I'm using it but it seems getting hot easily thereby disrupting my connection when doing work. That's my experience that I want to share. Other than that all seems pretty OK.

You may consider Asus AX56 (price rm42x), it comes with Mesh builds and also WiFi 6, thats said you can deploy one additional Mesh device compare to the router without Mesh build.
Happy with AX56 router, no issue.

Hi Guys,

I am currently an Astro IPTV subscriber with TIME internet 100mbps.
My 24month contract has ended as of March 2020 and I was thinking of upgrading to the new Astro + Broadband plans.
I was looking at the 300 mbps but the new Astro plans are only with Maxis.

Would I be better off sticking to my current TIME plan with Astro or swapping over to Maxis?

I have 5-adults in the house with over 15 devices connected.
Main use is Gaming, Torrent & Streaming

From a cost perspective, I will only be paying an additional RM 6 a month for the extra 200mbps.

Thank you for your feedback

Can you briefly explain your housing infra?
Maxis is on TM HSBB fibre network or own Maxis fibre network or also leasing Time's fibre?
Will you need to drill holes again in your wall to install Maxis's line?

Is your building;s Time network currently suffering from congestion due to over subscription?
