try not to get into a fanboyism flamewar, but i wouldn't touch or go near any acer. I do not own an acer, but my gf does. So , the job of reformating the nb and maintaining it became my duty automatically.
I've have so much problem with the acer till i literally gave up. to list down afew,
the nb have an ATi x1300 card, but when i was looking for the driver in ATi's website, i could find all other nb brands but not ACER in the official site. fine. next step would be searching for them in the Acer website. Which i found the driver, but then when installed, it is not supported. Hence, the X1300 card is useless in that nb now.
there's a built in webcam. then again, installed the provided drivers with the cd and again , no hardware found. hence again, the webcam is useless.
since i couldnt freaking get the x1300 working, i couldn't hook the nb with the projector. hooking it on the projector give me shit load of issues. ( not to say i have no experience in these settings, in fact, i've hooked up pretty much other brands of nb to different lcd projectors)
there's more to come, but guess i should stop here.
Asus? my sister is using the M5, and being a girl who knows little about computer, she handles it 2 years without any major problem besides there's one time where the charging component gave a buzzing sound. but problem was rectified n solved very fast by asus.
with their renowed name in motherboard making, i would rather trust asus and acer.
no1 best selling in malaysia ? with that kind of price, any brand would be no 1. I accept the fact that acers are cheap, but not exactly the best bang for buck nb. and yea, try not to believe too much in advertisements.
