Half a year ago Unifi was finally made available in my taman but with limited ports (all taken by my neighbours super fast). Today I walked in to TM centre and tried to apply for it again but unfortunately there is still no new ports. They helped me to complete the registration but I have to wait. When I asked them how long, they couldn't answer for sure.

Anyone knows how long? Months, even years?

Can be months or years depending how how soon TM wants to add more port.

I waited for almost 2 years. My parents moved into my same taman a few years later, they had to wait for 6 months.

By right tm should prepare ports maximum 6 months
waiting time.If they fail to do so , pay rm100 per month for
the customer who are waiting for it.If follow this way ,
should be super fast to get the ports.

If you're in a hurry, you might want to try checking with Maxis as they have reserved port for Maxis

According to TM agent, they are waiting for the grant to be given by the government to give the green light to install new ports. I'm facing the same issue at a densely populated residential area they mentioned no more ports. Another stupid problem is even alternative isp like maxis rides on tm infra which means no matter which side you go you'll end up back to square one. Unless your area got Time fibre.

Exactly! I was hoping to get Time instead but too bad it's not in my area. So you are using Streamyx now?

tried before.. quite stable in my area.. within same month and unifi open for Unifi application in my new condo.. so i cancelled celcom with FOC as first month are free trial during my registration.. if there is no fiber option, i guess celcom is better option for plan myr150..

Celcom is under tm, which is probably why the coverage is good. Tho I don't understand why their unifi Air got no coverage certain areas.

Usually when TM bring new Unifi into Taman areas, they will set a booth beside the road. Usually you can find them near the exits of your Taman residences. That's why maybe you miss out the chance to meet the TM booth during you go out or go back home. You have to apply for it immediately when you drive your car out and pass through the booth.
