Next-Gen iMacs and More Coming Tuesday, New iPod Mid-September.

Someone close to the Infinite Loop Mothership just sent us a tip on what to expect at the Apple event this Tuesday: according to him/her/it, Steve Jobs will announce newly-designed iMacs -as expected- but apparently there will be a lot more. After the jump.

. New Macbooks: no cosmetic changes, will be getting Santa Rosa chips.
. Mac mini: total form change, all brushed aluminum and 15% smaller. Base model will have a 120GB HDD.
. The iMacs will be, as rumored, brushed aluminum.

And as a bonus, "the new iPods will be rolling around mid-September." Well, the next-gen iPods are far away, but we only have to wait two more days to know about the rest of the new hardware and see if the Close Source is right or not.

So how close is this source? Let's say... about 8.9 miles close. My gut feeling knowing who the Close Source is? I think that's pretty much what is going to happen. And it's quite logical too.

All I can say is, a MacGeek can dream.
I hope the day I dream for ultra portable mac will end soon.

new ipod? not again......

Really hope they would beef up the Mac Mini, which has lagged behind all other products in the line. I don't think it needs to get any smaller - perhaps slimmer (taking in Apple TV's form factor).

Interesting to see how they will change the iMac, since the current design is already elegant and classy.

what do you mean, again? the iPod has been unchanged since Sept 2006... nearly one year already. the schedule for iPod is for it to change every 12 - 11 months once

It's a Mac event......dont think there will be any iPods introduced.....maybe in anotther event.......but SJ might do a "One more thing..."

anyway, just a little update, .Mac is scheduled for maintenance.....maybe there will be some changes to .Mac...

4. Mac Mini phased out, will introduce a replacement called Mac Micro..

I thought they just updated the macbook and macbook pro? Hmmm.
