In conclusion, QDlink is a shite stopgap alternative from Proton to a proper Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Why cant they see this is the future of driving experience?
Almost all if not all major car brands have adapted and implemented these into their car system. And yet we're missing out on the simplest of things.
Even their own GKUI is a piece of disappointing shit with stupid unreadable fonts and theme and unrecognized Navigation accent, to call a few. That tells how clueless their software engineers are, or whichever startup company they gave the tender to to maintain the software.
I guess we got what we paid for huh...
Android Auto and CarPlay used to be the priority for me. After more research and waiting over the years, it becomes less of a priority lol. There's always pairing issues here and there whenever an update is pushed out. Almost all if not all major car brands have adapted and implemented these into their car system. Just got my X50 this month and Android Auto is still not officially available in Malaysia. Maybe my next car many years from now, will have Android Auto OS, like the Polestar.
In the meantime, perhaps a new car phone mount
