Does anyone know how does the allocation work? I paid booking fee on 15/9/2020 with the SA (before the soft launch).

Until now I was told that they are still allocating chassis number for me (how long does that normally take ?)

It's quite funny, i must have been one of the first few who have paid booking fee , see so many otr already and yet mine haven't even have a delivery date.

Does anyone have a problem whereby everytime you start your car, you have to manually connect your Bluetooth again ?

Is there any solution to this ?

Thanks xeon for your great work !

One question , does the workaround come with PlayStore?

Is it possible to install ytmusic or normal YouTube. As i have already subscribed to YouTube premium, i do not need the hacked version

I read somewhere that this workaround need the latest Atlas to work.

I am stuck at the old version as the update just keep looping the download. Anyone managed to solve this problem?

Hi guys, i have a free more questions

1) will i be able to login to Google maps and Waze ?
2) If I were to install the stock YouTube and ytmusic app, will i be able to sign in ?
3) if i want to use Android auto wireslessly, can I use a dongle ? I usually charge my phone with a fast charger. The normal USB plug is too slow

Haha bro, sorry I'm new to this Android auto thing. My precious car was old school. Only got cassette.

How do I connect Android auto wireslessly ? I can't seem to find the wireless option

Thanks! seems like I need to turn on hotspot to do that haha.. I prefer to use Bluetooth. I will stick with cable it seems.

I have just upgraded and so far it is working very well. Thanks xeon/ chris for the workaround. Just bought you 3 cups of coffee!

One thing i find very irritating is the android auto that keep popping up when I turn on google map navigation on my android auto, is there a way to disable it?

Hi fellow experts, I am facing some problem using chris' script.

I have followed the instruction to point. However, after I installed the script. QD Link is removed but the other apps doesn't show up (even after shut down the car and restart), to make the new apps show up, I had to restore factory settings. However, after I restore factory settings, QD Link came back and I can't use Android Auto.

I have uninstalled, reset, install several times again but it is still the same. Is there any way to solve this?

1. Run the uninstallation script, grab the output.txt file. Name it output1.txt, reboot.

2. Run the installation script, grab the output file. Name it output2.txt. It will reboot.

3. If the same thing / issues still happening, give the 2 output files here?

*output file will be on the root usb everytime after running the script.

Thanks for your suggestion. And just did an uninstall and reinstall and it worked !

However, Android auto connected for maybe around 5 minutes and the screen turned black.

Is my setting in correct or something ?

I'm not too familiar with AA.

https://github.com/xeon1989/Proton-X50-APK-...ndedSettings.md

Try the recommended settings and try change if previous use wired / change to wireless. Vice versa.
See if the problem still occuring.

I have tried the recommended setting and it is still happening, should I disable GPS sharing?

Is there a way for me to make my Android auto only answer phone calls using cable instead of Bluetooth?

Due to the Bluetooth issue of x50 (have to manually reconnect sometimes), it's really annoying.

Also when i answer phone or make calls on bluetooth, it doesn't automatically goes to car speaker. I have to manually turn to loudspeaker on the Android auto app

Goodbye Proton – A Heartbroken Customer’s Story

I never thought I’d write something like this. I’ve always been a proud supporter of our national car. I believed in Proton. I believed that by buying local, I was doing something good. I believed that the after-sales service would be there when I needed it.

But today, I write this not out of anger, but out of deep sadness and disappointment.

It all started with a simple problem

On 27 February, my Proton X50's aircond started blowing hot air. Not a major issue, or so I thought. I contacted HZN Engineering Sdn Bhd, an authorised service centre, and was told the earliest available appointment was 11 March — a 12-day wait just to get it checked.

When I brought my car in, they didn’t even try to diagnose the problem. They simply did a standard "aircond service", gave the car back, and told me to "monitor and see".

The problem came back. So did the silence.
By 16 March, the aircond was hot again. I messaged them.
No reply for 4 days.
Finally, on 20 March, they allowed me to send the car back in.

That’s when my nightmare began.

Days passed. Weeks passed. I called. I messaged. I begged for updates. I emailed Proton.
No one cared.

I was promised callbacks that never came. I was told “the SA will update you today” — every day.
I returned from Raya break after being away from 27 March to 8 April, only to find nothing was done.

They finally told me it was the cooling coil, and that it wasn’t covered under warranty because my car exceeded 60,000 km — even though Proton’s own website clearly states the aircond system is covered for 5 years.

I called Proton’s hotline 4 times. I emailed.
Still, no solution, no quote, no repair, no care.

As I write this...
It has now been 38 days since the aircond first failed.
My car has been in the service centre for 30 days.
I still don’t know how much it will cost to fix, or when it will be fixed.

This isn’t just about an aircond anymore.
It’s about how a brand can completely ignore its customer, despite all the promises.

I feel helpless, and foolish
I used to recommend Proton to friends and family.
I told them it was different now — that service had improved, that it was worth it.
But today, I feel embarrassed and betrayed.

I’ve lost time. I’ve lost trust. And I’ve lost all confidence in Proton.

This was my first Proton.
And it will be my last.

To anyone reading this: if you are considering Proton, ask yourself —
Are you ready to be ignored when you need help most?

Because I wasn’t.
And now I’m paying the price.

Hi all, just wanted to give an update to my previous post.

After non-stop chasing for updates the whole week, SA Khairul finally called me on Friday — a full 4 days after he said he would. Standard reply, busy la.

I told him I wanted to just collect my car and settle this elsewhere after his nonsense.

So I went there today and guess what?
Turns out Khairul had already resigned — Friday was his last day. The new SA just handed the key to me and asked me to find the car myself.

I wandered around the lot for 5 minutes and couldn't find my car. Asked the new SA where my car is but no one knows, took them 10 minutes to locate my car which was parked all the way at the back.

I honestly don’t know if the ridiculous service was because he knew he was leaving, but no customer deserves to be treated this way.

Anyway, I’ve booked an appointment with MBF Subang Jaya. Fingers crossed that they can finally solve this aircond issue swiftly.

To everyone here — if you're considering where to service your car:

PLEASE, NEVER EVER GO TO Proton HZN Engineering 3S - Kelana Jaya

Worst experience I’ve ever had with any workshop, Proton or not.

Thanks again to those who gave advice and support earlier !
