QUOTE(Boy96 @ Nov 1 2020, 12:31 PM) Hi fellow LYN future X50 owners! Very good, thanks for the effort.I have just did a complete, indepth all you need to know video (in bahasa) regarding to x50 maintenance and future repairs. In the video i highlighted this key points - cost and parts specification that needs to be replaced during the interval service and estimation of full service cost for 5 years/100k - compare some differences between the specification of parts between x50 and geely coolray - cost for wear and tear item such as battery, tyres, timing belts and carbon cleaning - most important!, Cost estimation for major parts and components (turbo, gearbox, sensors, etc2) which is not in the wear n tear list, which u might need to replace incase of an accident or if your warranty has finished or void, or even if you get fedup with the parts waiting time.. I hope this video will be very beneficial for upcoming new owners of this X50 and those who are still considering of getting one soon. crystalclearlah liked this post

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Nov 8 2020, 06:58 PM) Overall quite a good driving experience during the test drive but I noticed the side mirror has a design defect. The right side mirror cant fully extend all the way out compare to the left side. Probably because they convert the left side to right side but never put this into consideration. Yes, I noticed it too. SA said its the max. Fainted.Normally you can adjust the side mirror to see less of the car body but the right side mirror seems like you cant do it all the way out. |

QUOTE(jaychew90 @ Nov 10 2020, 02:26 PM) I dont recommend anyone to try replacing the camera as some of ADAS features make use of them. If the cameras are not placed back at the precise angle, it'll affect the system accuracy. Unless outside vendors know how to recalibrate the system, it's better to just leave it as it is. AgreedAnd for sure it'll void the warranty for the whole ADAS system at least. |

I changed booking to premium the day after the price is announced but I only receive sms now omg I got sms 2 days after i booked. SA told me now that priority is given to cash buyers. Sigh. They should follow the queue. |

QUOTE(Kappest @ Nov 21 2020, 12:39 PM) Buy the x50 so to be the first on the road? No need la Well saidAnyway spoke to my SA, on dealer's side they also dem frust as they are clueless when car comes in. 6 months or 1 year, nobody knows. But surely some give up and cancel along the way, which will hasten for those in queue. If you need a car now, there is lot of other good cars too. Go to their showroom, you might get hooked as well. We are in adrenaline drive, want the x50 asap. Just step back and look to the reality, either juz chill and wait, or go get another car and enjoy it. Wont waste too much your energy to be a customer. |

QUOTE(bongbo @ Nov 27 2020, 11:49 PM) The only way is to inspect before delivery and if find any defects, do not sign the hand over delivery form. Ic, good infoDemand them to rectify all the defect baru sign papers. Without you signing papers, bank cant release the money to the dealer . Your rights to get it fix but before delivery |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Nov 28 2020, 12:17 PM) In 2021, I will look forward to test drive Perodua D55L. Well said.No doubt X50 is fun to drive and packed with advance safety features I'm hoping D55L offering at similar safety features. Didnt aspect anonymous L2 driving, but let said D55L able offer at similar comfort and safety, I don't mind 1.0 turbo engine at below Rm70k. Another options is also Yaris crossover, but I doubt it is similar price range. If were go above X50, likely to look X70 if there is facelift or upgrade in 2021 version. But again, don't have too much confidence with Proton. Screw up marketing that make customers wait and never provide sufficient training and information for their SA or dealer. Then now 1st batch customers receiving cars with so many obvious defects. Can you imagine those that you cant see? I will recommend we should wait longer, not to rush for car delivery in 2020. Proton is not really ready, all signs and feedback obviously demonstrated to you. Lastly their 3s or 4s services still not par with any Japanese car dealers or also far from Perodua level. Simply comparison here that you have to wait 3-4 hrs needed for Proton to do a normal service vs within 1 hr from Perodua. Seems to me Proton never set level or KPI for theie dealers to maintain certain quality aspects. |

QUOTE(death_nite @ Nov 29 2020, 08:50 AM) If u are not urgently need it then better u wait. How do we know when is next batch? Yes, not urgent needing the car.I am also waiting till they fixed it first on the next batch. Like iris, first batch hv issues with their black lining roof flying on highways. They did replaced it for free. Took a while but i believe no more issues on the next batch. |
