people did mention SC change the grounding cable and that tak tak sound gone.
i think thats for my case too, as they fix the flywheel like 8hour. as i passing car to SC like 1~2pm, and they say they done next morning 9am. and no gearbox oil changed.
me on outskirt, not main city like JB/KL...so that less an issue especially me here oil palm truck move like 90+...you cant slower than that right?  whistling.gif

but if me calm on pedal, i think i can get 12km/l + but much weaker than my almera.. thats why i looking for next car already, because using this car i keep going petrol station (not cost wise, just keep going station)

So far closing in 5th years, gearbox engine still good, and no funny noise. I'm quite happy with my unit especially sideloaded with AA in pre-atlas GKUI HU

I'm looking for bigger car to accomodate bigger family,
Looking at X90 but turn me off with the odd gear design and absent of AA, additionally the phasing out 3 pot cylinder engine.

Other alternatives include the spacious Innova Zenix, but a step down on interior design and material use wise, including some smart feature like auto wiper, heck this so called new Toyota still using steel bone wiper blade, although that means cheaper to maintain but at this age of time... thumbup.gif

current time with decent price can check china car. but SUV 7seater doesnt have good one...as you need pick between cargo space/thirdrow...
better just go for MPV but not suv.

me not yet have family, but i also gonna to pick bigger car.
currently aimed to tiggo 7 phev, havel h6, jaecoo j7 phev, or sealion7 for full ev.
if going bigger than SUV.. then not much choice already and everyone are 250K+

zenix not worth to get especially with the current price tag almost 200K
unless you got it with tons of discount.

If you are looking for same segment to X90, the other best option is Mazda CX-8 which currently on promotion with RM 20k discount. Go for 2.5 NA engine and 6 seater (with a walkway at 2nd row, more roomy for 3rd row passenger).

The workshop (Zordaq Bangi) removes the airbox filter casing, as picture, and removes the cap. Then use the suction machine to suck the existing old oil at the HCA parts, about 1L oil. Then refill the new DCT oil on that white box casing for 1L.
After that, change the normal DCT oil for 5L from below the GB.

suggest u visit Zordaq Bangi. they are able to perform the service even Im bring all the parts myself. Happy with this brand DCT, bought from their shopee mall + Mizu 0w40 fully synthetic for engine oil

those I saw who kene the HCA issue are at 80k, 90k and above 100k km mileage, and when ask owner who done above 150k km, all said they did an HCA oil change outside, cz Proton wont do it
Since mine already finished warranty, I did that, if that can prolong the HCA life. Only cost less than rm100 for 1L oil.

agree. because HCA cost like 2~3K...if a single L of oil change really make it survive another 100K...worth it.

i checking with the mechanic that help me change the timing belt, alternator pulley. see he can help or not.

Have anyone facing eSim problem all of a sudden no 4G connection since September 2025. Without 4G, Proton Link app cannot log trips, cannot remote control (eg. start), no updated car info and no location update.

Troubleshoot:
1. I did try the reset function via the fuse box but no success few times. Failed no 4G connection.
2. Update to latest infotainment system. Lost legacy infotainment system. Failed also no 4G connection.
Latest infotainment system have refresh looks but some annoying voice door opening warning. Didn't notice Hi Proton interruption during conversation as compared to legacy system.
3. Reset to factory default latest infotainment system. Still failed no 4G connection.
4. Changed to new battery after 2 yrs plus since having symptoms car difficult to start if left without driving for over a day. Still no 4G connection.
5. After 2 months plus without 4G connection bangwall.gif , decided to ask SC to troubleshoot on next service.

confused.gif After 2 months plus of losing hope, 4G connection miraculously appeared! hmm.gif

That's what I suspect t-box died. Was going to refer to SC to check out.

My car haven't reached 5yrs yet. Still got few more months to go. In fact I lost 2 months plus of free 1G quota due to no 4G connection. Did check with wifi showing unused monthly 1G quota due to no 4G connection.

that tbox slightly common to die for some geely model. as they all shared the same/similar unit tbox
and you cant just buy china unit to replace, because it wont sent telemetry to atlas so you will lose 4G, remote start etc feature.
so going SC is correct move.

my x50 now about 4yr 4month. i think later when it reach like last month i will subscribe remote feature for another 2yr straight. (RM14/mth, slightly expensive tbh)
me didnt use the data for long time as i switched to thirdparty headunit.
