For me, I have to take the optional package to get the car earlier. White flagship, cash.

Just got the car today, white flagship. Overall love the car very much. I think no need to mention the positive aspects about the car as everyone already knows. So i'll just list down some of the negatives/quality issues here:
1. 360 camera quality really sucks, just like my other 3rd gen Myvi. 2. Driver's side mirror angle adjustment too limited (issue already mentioned by someone in previous post). 3. Door assembly/fittings slightly not aligned. Same with some chrome trims. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not complaining, just pointing out there's still room for improvement in terms of quality. |

QUOTE(cheahhp @ Nov 26 2020, 06:20 PM) Just wanted to find out more info since no test drive car available for non-flagship and it's not stated. Isn't it a spec info? I just checked the owners manual. It only mention the top speed for MPI engine, which is 190km/h (GDI 195km/h). There's no mention about 0-100 time. Regardless of "*** bigger or not***" specs should still be listed. I have not driven many cars but I can feel x50 is way more powerful than a civic 1.8 that I'm very familiar with. |

QUOTE(ycs @ Nov 29 2020, 12:55 PM) did you open up to see what battery is fitted? camel? Nope, didn't unwrap the cover. So far no issues with Proton link. any issues using proton link app to check car status? QUOTE(adkiller @ Nov 29 2020, 01:09 PM) Is there a way to know the battery percentage? I only know Proton link will notify if battery running low. I travel short distances that's why need to charge periodically.QUOTE(eddie89 @ Nov 29 2020, 01:13 PM) Speaker sound quality is very subjective. What I can say is x50 is better than the new Myvi and my old 8th gen Civic. But still way behind my brother's Mazda 6. Overall the sound is good enough for me. |

QUOTE(sevendogz @ Dec 1 2020, 04:25 PM) You can't book the car on that day. Proton only opened to bookings on 16th of September. And you must also pay RM500 to Proton directly for reservations. Please ask you dealer when did they booked for you. Congrats and good luck! I'm pretty confident once you drive and own the car, you will find that there's no way one should go get a Vios or City.I will get the car tomorrow, booked on 16th. I was the 11th in queue in this Proton branch. |

QUOTE(sk41 @ Dec 6 2020, 07:48 AM) is ok for car nowadays to not switch off the aircond before switch off the engine? Yes, you don't have to switch off aircon before turning off engine. When next time you start the car, you will notice the aircon will only turn on moments later after ignition. straight away switch off engine so that when you remote start the car, the aircond will automatically switch on QUOTE(exdtan @ Dec 6 2020, 09:11 AM) I believe if you have remote engine start feature by factory, you should be able to configure your car to switch on air conditioning upon remote start like Civic so leaving aircon on is not necessary. Can only be done through Proton link, not the remote. QUOTE(sk41 @ Dec 6 2020, 03:03 PM) for x50, my SA told me that if we want aircond auto on when start engine using remote, aircond must be on when previous engine off Yes, correct. Therefore I never switch off the aircon.ie aircond off switch off engine remote start engine aircond off aircond on switch off engine remote start engine aircond auto on sk41 liked this post

QUOTE(sk41 @ Dec 6 2020, 06:56 PM) Nope. Because the system will automatically start your engine first before starting the aircon (therefore not putting too much strain on the battery and starter). Besides, the user manual also never mention that you have to ensure the aircon is off before starting the car.QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 6 2020, 08:55 PM) Hey, stupid question: Can you connect your phone to the infotainment screen through bluetooth and play songs from your phone = audio comes out from the car speakers? Of course. Even Myvi can do that. Your contact list will also be synchronized. If want to make a call, just say "Hi Proton, call 0121234567". |

Been driving both x70 and x50 lately. Can feel x50 is much more responsive when moving from standstill.
The audio quality is also much better than x70. I'm still trying hard to get the right equaliser settings for x70 but x50 is just good out of the box. The only things I like about x70 are the comfortable Nappa leather seats and better resolution cameras. |

QUOTE(ycs @ Dec 9 2020, 05:07 PM) I can only think of few possibilities:- not driving the car everyday - too short distance drives - play too much of the infotainment system while the engine is off - not locking the car (manual says leaving the car unlocked drain more battery than locked) - faulty battery? |

Anyone received message from service centre about recall program for x50? It does not mention about which part though.
