for my unit both wind noise and whistle noise can be heard at highway speeds.
whistle noise is exactly like it sounds, a low pitch whistle coming from the A pillar near the side mirror area. There is also a loose rubber seal for mine at the side mirror area,  will try with double sided tape to see if this works first

edit: anyone having issues with rattling/squeaking sound? mine has developed this sound at the driver dashboard side and it's driving me crazy..

Bro do update us here if you managed to somehow fix it.
Rattling - I only experienced it once last week when I start up the car after 2/3 days of inactivity. It was gone after I switch off the engine and switch it back on.

This doesn't auger well for X50 after all this hype that was built up on its performance, automotive technology during the media preview, launched date and some test drives by motoring journalists. The engine is good, but the the QC of the car is a let down by Proton. This is going to hit it back in future as many people will buy X50 and soon discovered that the quality issue that came with it.

Proton never learned from its past mistakes at all. As you are aware that, Proton recently exported X70 to Pakistan without doing sufficient market due digilence. It can't keep up with the order books that, it takes more than 9 months for anyone to get the car after booking. So much so, unscrupulous dealers/agents are asking for additional $$ from buyers to cut queue to get their cars. Do not export if you don't manufacture enough cars to cater for the market demands. It only affects your reputation in the market. This is the same for X50 here.

I asked my SA how many X50 has your outlet delivered so far to their customers? You know what, he said, "not many". I asked him, not many is "how many"? He couldn't answer me and said, he need to ask his boss. What lah, as a SA you don't know? It means that you are not interested in your products, your job and the lack of drive. I think even with Geely on board producing good cars, Proton still will not transform inself into company of substance!!

Come on, it is not the business of a SA to give out internal numbers. He easily could be fired for telling you this, depending on the mood of his boss and how embarrassing the exact number is for this Proton branch.

There is only one to blame for this disaster, that is Proton HQ and at the end of the line the Proton CEO. Advertising a tax holiday for many months and collecting 50000 X50 and X70 bookings while knowing the maybe can only deliver 5000 is close to illegal practise. People booked and paid RM 500 and waited and not considered competitors of Proton and so wasted the chance to use the tax holiday. Not telling the truth until mid December while it was crystal clear long time the cannot deliver for maybe 90 % of the customers until end of the year. And the HQ let the branches and SA standing in the fire, that is really bad practice.

While waiting for the announced "Customer Appreciation Plan" I already have a strong feeling that I don´t want to make business with this company. Would have been my first Proton car.

as a consumer, this makes plenty of sense. Hope many comes to their senses too and withdraw their booking lol.

Every brand has their own problem. Proton is taking extra fire because the CEO got over-confident and boost its capability when it’s not subpar.

Perodua Alza, Honda Civic, Mercedes and all sorts of car had their ‘QC’ issues back then when they first launch. People complained in lowyat as well.

Hey everyone. Long time lurker on this thread and seen every X50 video (except the new 1 hr video from Hafriz).

Getting tired of waiting 2 months for the X50 dy.. and probably will need to wait 3-6 months. Plus SST gonna kick in soon. What do you guys think between X50 Flagship vs Honda Civic TC-P? I know there's a RM30k gap but if we put that aside, would you go for it? Considered the City V but I'm not impressed that they inherited old engine and didn't provide any ADAS at all in a 2020 model for RM90k. Hence thinking of switching over to Civic TCP.

Sorry if not right forum feel free to ignore. Look forward to any advice.

Another option to consider is the City RS e:HEV coming next month, the pricing is still unknown at this moment. The face lifted Civic TC-P is a good option to consider, but I've heard that it has sold out for this year. You might want to check with your dealer on what you can actually buy now.

According to the latest news posted at PT, vehicles that are in distributors’ hands by December 31 will still be exempt from SST next year, but they have to be registered by January 31, 2021. So if you can secure a car from your dealer now, you can still avoid the SST when you register it next month.

Even Honda has it own problems etc. City and HRV had plenty of people having CVT problem within warranty period. And all get warranty claim had me thinking is this quality or design problem with the cvt?

Nvh is poor on Honda in general. U can also see people complaining the bumper and dashboard gap that were visually wrong on Civic, but SC said they cant do anything as it been accepted by factory.

If it me, its better buy other car than Honda as per current issues, quality as well as NVH if u keen on that

If you really want the civic, i would recommend the 1.8. Honda turbo have problems. Im also tired of waiting and wanted something similar but couldnt afford to top up 30k (if you can, consider altis?).

I went for the new vios, at least it has AEB and LDA compared to the city V spec.

Aiya just cancel la, why complain so much. Not like we all didnt know wont get delivered this year anyways. Since last month already knew its impossible for them to deliver the car this year. Regardless with SST or not, we all know you will still buy this car since there is nothing better out there. After booking also proton already mentioned waiting period is 3-6 months, nobody gave any fake promises also so why complain so much. Its you who decided to wait because the truth is you cannot find any other better car out there for this price point.

Go ahead & cancel your booking if you're unhappy, I know for a fact I wont be canceling mine & will just wait for next year. No doubt proton have some issues with their production & they themselves are well aware of it, it takes time to increase the output capacity so it is what it is due to their poor planning during the initial stage. Since last month I already started comparing with Subaru XV & decided to wait for the x50 regardless knowing I have to pay for the SST.

Welcome to turbo engine car. the FC can be greater than ur previous car but a tiny window of operating. On NA engine, the FC can be achieved with more driving patterns.

Please consider Subaru XV. I had few other ‘almost’ X5” owners cancelled booking and bought Subaru XV instead and so far not complaining

Service advisor told me that Proton HQ acknowledged the "wind noise" complaint from customer.
They will come out with "official fix" soon
